took a short trip to the outskirts of Seoul.
The place we visited this time was Pocheon Tivoliville Spa & Pool Villa,
where you can enjoy **outdoor BBQ and a jacuzzi**.
I stayed in the great value-for-money **Rosemary Room**.
With its spacious grounds and various room types,
it's a lodge with many options, perfect for
families, couples, or friends.

Pocheon Tivoliville Review
[Rosemary Room]
When you arrive at Tivoliville, park near the entrance and
head to the reception building for check-in first!
After checking in, you can park again right in front of your
private villa, which made it super convenient to unload our luggage.
The reception building was decorated in an "overseas Christmas" style,
so it felt festive and wonderful from the moment we checked in! 😆
You can pick up any necessary tableware from inside the reception, so
I brought some, but it turned out
most things were already provided in the room!
The biggest advantage of Tivoliville is that
all rooms are private standalone units.
Each room has a slightly different layout, but the
**Rosemary Room** featured a **barbecue and a spa tub right
in its private yard**.
Inside, it's a **studio-style layout** with one queen bed, a four-person dining table, and a kitchen.
Since there were three of us, they kindly provided an **additional futon/bedding**.
We had an early afternoon barbecue outside,
enjoyed the spa, and then continued the party (second round) indoors.
Most of the tableware was well-stocked and
the interior was clean, so it was great to hang out inside too.
We were busy drinking, dancing, and having fun,
so all the indoor photos are just of us dancing, haha...
(Next time, I'll try to take better pictures!!)
Anyway, even with three of us, it didn't feel cramped at all,
and we had plenty of space to dance and have a blast.
After dropping off our bags at the accommodation, we immediately had an outdoor barbecue.
I'd heard reviews saying that eating outdoors in summer can be tough because of the heat and abundance of bugs,
but I think a big advantage of visiting in winter is being able to enjoy an outdoor barbecue without bugs,
making it a relatively safe and pleasant experience.
We visited in early December, and everyone wore long padded coats, so it wasn't too cold even after the sun set.
There's a large door connecting the accommodation to the terrace,
which was super convenient for grabbing anything we needed right away.
Enjoying charcoal-grilled meat and beer surrounded by nature really gave us a camping vibe, perfect for a winter getaway! Haha.
At check-in, they gave us 3 free cans of Knotted beer,
which was great for taking cute photos! 👍
I was so satisfied that
I highly recommend paying the additional ~$17
to enjoy the outdoor barbecue!
The outdoor terrace was so lovely that
after the barbecue, we lingered, enjoying dessert and chatting
until the sun had set.
As it got chillier, we immediately started the outdoor spa.
The tub was surprisingly large, easily accommodating three people,
and it was in great condition and very clean.
Pressing a button activated lights,
and there was also a fun bubbling feature, which made it even more enjoyable.
Even though we didn't travel far from Seoul,
enjoying a barbecue and spa with friends felt like a proper vacation, which was wonderful.
Most importantly, Tivoli Ville is surrounded by mountain scenery,
and all the units are detached, making it very private.
With no loud noise,
it was perfect for a relaxed and healing getaway.
Looking up at the night sky from the spa tub, there were so many stars that
I even saw constellations – a memory I won't soon forget.
The next day, before checking out,
we went to Supida Dining for the free breakfast.
The interior had a great view and was spacious.
If you're visiting with family and kids, it might be a good idea to order food service on the rooftop or inside the restaurant.
I wondered how good free breakfast could be, but the
bean sprout hangover soup was truly delicious! Haha!
Make sure to have it for breakfast!
Tivoli Ville Spa & Pool Villa is an accommodation I'd recommend to anyone looking for:

The Rosemary Room I stayed in this time
is the best value-for-money room type at Tivoli Ville,
and there are many other larger and much better-equipped detached rooms available too.
If you're visiting for a family trip or with a partner,
choosing a better room type would likely lead to even greater satisfaction.
