I've been a fan of this spot for years, and it's become a go-to for my mom whenever guests are in town. This time, we were on a mission: to revisit the incredible Sanjeong Lake Bakery and then head over to the Hantangang Geopark Center for some hands-on cookie fun. My mom swears by their baguettes, claiming no other place compares, so off we went!

This Mont Blanc is absolutely loaded with cream. It might be a bit pricey, but honestly, for that much delicious cream, it's totally worth it!
Garlic Cream Sausage Bread: ~$4
While the portion size was a bit smaller than I expected, the kids absolutely devoured it. The honey mustard sauce served with it perfectly complemented the savory sausage.
Baguette: ~$4
Our main objective for this visit was the baguette! We asked for it to be sliced, and also added a side of whipped cream.
The whipped cream costs an extra ~$1, and it's generously portioned and deliciously rich.
What makes their baguettes special is the perfect contrast: crispy on the outside, yet incredibly soft on the inside.
Even the next day, the inside of the bread remained wonderfully soft. It's truly a testament to their baking mastery!
You won't find a baguette this good anywhere else!
Just a heads-up: the baguettes are only available on weekends, so plan your visit accordingly. Weekends can get quite busy, and with the weather getting nicer, I expect even bigger crowds!
Since the Americano was a bit on the pricier side, we opted for an ade instead. It was a perfectly refreshing and reliable choice.
Cookie Making Experience
After enjoying our snacks at the bakery, we headed straight to the Hantangang Geopark Center for the cookie-making activity.
Having made a cake yesterday, the kids were thrilled to try their hand at cookies today!
I initially thought I could just send the kids in by themselves since they'd done cookie making before. However, it turns out parental supervision is required for some of the steps – and boy, was there a lot of stirring involved! It wouldn't have been easy for the kids to manage on their own.
So, we all got to work, stirring diligently!

Then, it was time to add marshmallows and shape our cookies.
These marshmallow cookies were seriously delicious – I'm still thinking about them!
During a short break, we popped over to a cafe at Herb Island.
When the kids returned, they had proudly finished their cookies!
They had a blast, and it made their grandpa's investment in the experience totally worth it! They even packed some cookies separately for grandpa and dad.
