It may have been last winter when we visited, but this experience is timeless!

Program Name: Colorful Geological Cake Making

- Participants: First-come, first-served 4 family teams

- Experience Fee: ~$20 per team (2-4 people)

- When: Every Saturday, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM (90 minutes)

Our Geological Cake Making Adventure!

Last time, we only got to make cookies, but after calling ahead, we discovered they now offer the geological cake class! We made sure to register on-site right away.

Honestly, it's worth it if you think of it as buying a slightly pricier, custom-made cake – you get a fun, hands-on experience and a delicious treat!

Once seated at our team tables, our instructor gave us a brief overview and instructions using a helpful presentation.

First up: cookie making! Having done this before, we found it a bit easier this time around.

After listening to the instructor, we rolled out our cookie dough and used cookie cutters to create various shapes. It was fun making the Hantangang characters—Cheon-yi, Jin-yi, and Tan-yi—in different colors; they looked so adorable!

Before baking and after baking, a delightful transformation!

Next, we were given cake sheets to cut, and the instructor generously added fresh cream on the spot. We spread the cream generously, stacking the layers one by one.

Spread evenly, stack, and repeat!

The leftover cake sheets we cut could be eaten on the spot or taken home. The cake base had a wonderfully chewy texture, almost like a rice cake, which was a delightful surprise!

We decided to make mini cakes with the cream-covered scraps to take home.

While munching on some delicious cream-covered cake, we started creating the 'water streams' on our geological cake, inspired by the nearby Bidulginang Waterfall.

The two different colors of cream made the design pop beautifully. Our instructor was incredibly patient and kept a smile on their face throughout, despite all the creative chaos!

We were given 'Stone Age' chocolates, the cookies we just made, and even fresh strawberries! They provided a generous amount of strawberries, allowing us plenty of options for decoration.

(My kids aren't big fans of strawberries, so I ended up eating quite a few myself while they focused on other decorations, haha!)

Voila! Here's our finished masterpiece!

My daughters certainly know how to pile on the toppings – more is definitely better!

We carefully packed our cake into a box to take home.

This experience was so much fun!

And the cake base was incredibly delicious, which was a huge bonus.

I really hope they introduce more affordable, frequent workshops for families to enjoy.

I initially planned to skip the cookie-making on Sunday, but guess what? We ended up doing it again, haha!
