Debussy Stay Pension Review 2026: Sanjeong Lake Getaway

Looking for accommodation near Sanjeong Lake (산정호수),

I searched through quite a few pensions.

It wasn't easy to find a clean and decent place

that met my expectations.

After comparing many options and carefully choosing,

the place I decided on was

Debussy Stay Pension (드뷔시스테이펜션).

Having stayed there myself,

it was a place I was generally very satisfied with!

I'll be introducing room 201 in Building B, which I used,

along with the pension's facilities.

Check-in: 3 PM

Check-out: 11 AM

The Debussy Pension in Pocheon

is about 10-15 minutes by car from Sanjeong Lake,

and about 5 minutes by car to a convenience store.

The pension also has a mini-mart setup

where they sell ramyeon and other bits and bobs,

so you don't necessarily have to go to a convenience store!!

Contact from the Owner on Check-in Day

On the day of check-in, the owner

contacted me first.

They confirmed my car number, estimated check-in time,

and whether I planned to use the BBQ facilities.

If you're planning to use the BBQ,

it seems best to let them know in advance.

I didn't use the BBQ this time,

but I saw many other guests grilling meat

on their room terraces.

Each room has its own private terrace,

making it perfect for a private BBQ.

Introducing Room 201, Building B

The room I reserved was

Room 201 in Building B.

Debussy Stay Pension

is divided into Building A and Building B.

Building A is right next to the swimming pool,

while Building B has a lawn in front of the rooms.

On the lawn in front of Building B,

badminton equipment was also available.

If you have some leisure time,

it would be great to play a casual game of badminton

and have some fun.

When I first entered the room,

there was something that immediately impressed me.

Gentle music was playing,

and incense had been lit on time,

filling the room with a subtle, pleasant aroma.

From the moment I stepped into the accommodation,

I felt a sense of delight!

It was clear that attention was paid to even these small details,

which made for a fantastic first impression.

The room was decorated in white and wood tones,

creating a clean and cozy atmosphere.

The bed was spacious,

and there was a small sofa and lighting on one side,

making it perfect for comfortable relaxation.

When I stayed there,

the bedding was neatly arranged,

and the overall impression was one of cleanliness.

Bathroom

The bathroom was also generally clean.

The shower area was separated by a glass partition,

and a washbasin and mirror were also provided.

However, when using the hot water,

✔️ there's one thing to keep in mind.

It seems the water heater is far from the room,

as it took more than 3 minutes

for hot water to come out.

Initially, cold water comes out,

but if you let it run a bit longer, hot water will appear.

Once the hot water starts flowing,

the water pressure is good and the water flows out strongly.

I recommend turning on the water in advance

and waiting when you take a shower.

Kitchen and In-Room Amenities

Each room also has a separate kitchen area.

A sink and induction cooktop are provided,

along with a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave.

Basic tableware is also provided,

making it convenient for enjoying simple meals

or late-night snacks.

It's also great for storing frozen foods or drinks,

and you can utilize the tableware

when enjoying a BBQ on the terrace.

Individual Terraces in Each Room

One of the strengths of Debussy Stay Pension (드뷔시스테이펜션) is

that each room has its own individual terrace.

With individual BBQs possible on the terrace,

it seems perfect for grilling meat in the evening

and enjoying a relaxing time.

I didn't use the BBQ this time,

but I saw other guests

enjoying BBQs on their terraces.

For those who can't imagine a pension trip

without a BBQ,

this seems like a great perk.

Pension Surroundings

The area around the accommodation

had an overall quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

A convenience store was about a 5-minute drive away,

and Sanjeong Lake (산정호수) was about a 10-15 minute drive.

I think it's a good location

for sightseeing at Sanjeong Lake

and then returning to the accommodation to rest.

Since there isn't a convenience store right in front,

it's convenient to purchase any necessities or food items

in advance before arriving.

The Morning After the Rain

What personally stood out to me

was the atmosphere the next morning.

The surroundings were wonderfully quiet at night,

and then it even rained the next morning.

Perhaps because of the rain,

the air felt incredibly fresh.

Spending a day away from the city, close to nature,

made these moments

feel truly wonderful.

Even without doing anything special,

just relaxing in a quiet place

and breathing in the clear air

was a truly healing experience.

Overall Review

I compared several places

to find a clean and decent pension near Sanjeong Lake,

and this is the one I chose.

After visiting myself,

I was thoroughly satisfied.

From the subtle incense scent and calming music I noticed when entering the room,

to the clean bedding and bathroom,

and the individual terrace provided in each room – it was all wonderful!

The in-room amenities were also well-equipped,

so I didn't experience any major inconveniences during my stay.

The only minor drawback was that it took a while for the hot water to come on,

but I think it would be fine if you know about it beforehand.

Most of all, I loved that it was quiet at night

and that I could enjoy the fresh air

the morning after the rain.
