Pass Brew Jeju Review: Sanbangsan Views & Hand-Drip
Escape the crowds at Pass Brew, a hidden gem roastery in Jeju offering stunning Sanbangsan views, specialty hand-drip coffee, and a peaceful atmosphere.
If you are looking for a quiet, cozy roastery cafe with a front-row view of the majestic Sanbangsan Mountain, I highly recommend **Pass Brew Jeju**.
This specialty hand-drip roastery is the perfect spot to slow down and savor the true, rich flavors of carefully crafted coffee in a serene, peaceful setting.
While it's a bit of a trek from Jeju City (where we used to live) to Sagye-ri in Andeok-myeon, it is an absolute must-visit stop if you are road-tripping or exploring the scenic western side of Jeju Island.
My husband and I visited Pass Brew on a weekend afternoon. Even though the weather was quite overcast, the cafe was already filled with locals and travelers seeking a quiet escape.

Because the front yard offers an unobstructed, sweeping view of Sanbangsan, the outdoor tables and window seats are easily the most popular spots in the house.

On a clear day, sitting outside with a fresh brew while staring up at the dramatic volcanic dome is an unmatched Jeju experience.
Since we lived in Jeju and had seen Sanbangsan countless times, we decided to skip the window seats and opted for a cozy table deeper inside.

The interior captures that slow, peaceful countryside charm unique to Jeju's hidden villages.
With soft, quiet music playing in the background, it’s an incredibly relaxing space to have a deep conversation, read a book, or enjoy some solo downtime. We spent our afternoon here sipping coffee while browsing lighting fixtures for our new home, completely losing track of time in the quiet atmosphere.

One of the best highlights of Pass Brew is the interactive ordering experience. Before you choose your drink, you can actually sample and smell the different coffee bean varieties at the counter.
Each single-origin bean has a distinct, vibrant profile.
Even the decaf options carry a surprisingly deep, rich aroma that rivals any standard specialty bean.

We ordered one decaf hand-drip and one regular single-origin hand-drip, which came out to a total of ~$8.
Even served over ice, **the aromas were incredibly lively, leaving a clean, crisp finish on the palate.**

The acidity was perfectly balanced, making it incredibly smooth and easy to drink.
I’ve heard great things about their rich, nutty Cafe Lattes as well, so that's definitely on my list for our next visit!

**We highly recommend visiting on a sunny day.**
A massive part of Pass Brew's charm is the majestic view of Sanbangsan.
On rainy days, you won't be able to enjoy the outdoor garden, and because indoor window seating is limited, it can be harder to fully appreciate the view.
To get the absolute best experience, wait for a clear sky!
**Note: There is no dedicated parking lot.**
Pass Brew is tucked away in a quiet alley where navigating and parking a car can be tricky.
Instead of driving all the way to the entrance, it’s much easier to park along the main road near Hyanggyo-ro and take a short, pleasant walk to the cafe.

If you make the trip to Pass Brew, be sure to check out these incredible nearby spots:
**Sagye Beach**
Just a 5-minute drive away. It's famous for its unique, otherworldly volcanic coastal rock formations and is a highly popular photo spot.
**Sanbangsan Carbonate Hot Springs**
A fantastic place to soak away your travel fatigue. Highly popular for couples and families alike.
**Lunafall**
A magical night-time attraction featuring immersive media art installations set in a mystical forest.
