You’ll find it on the second floor of the building that houses Ppyeotan House Seongsu (the direct branch) on the first floor.

Even during a weekday lunch, the tables were almost completely full.

The interior of Out of Order Seongsu boasts a modern and clean aesthetic that perfectly complements the Seongsu neighborhood's trendy vibe.
There was a variety of seating, from bar stools to larger tables for groups.

We were guided to a private, circular table tucked away by a partition.
The window seat was a lovely touch!

Out of Order Lunch Menu

Out of Order Seongsu offers slightly different menus for lunch and dinner.
There are so many fresh Korean dishes with familiar yet surprising combinations that it took us a while to decide! For two of us, we ordered:
The total came to ~$34!

The water, infused with herbs, was wonderfully fragrant :)

First to arrive was the Green Onion Tteokgalbi Risotto.
This dish was a delightful combination of bite-sized tteokgalbi (Korean grilled short rib patties, almost like meatballs), green onions, and nuts.
The creamy sauce blended perfectly with the satisfyingly chewy texture of barley, making for a truly enjoyable plate!

The tteokgalbi was perfectly seasoned, packed with meat, and had that wonderful crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside texture.
The green onions, lightly grilled, had a subtle smoky flavor that elevated the dish even further.
I was particularly curious about the barley risotto, and I was so impressed by its texture that I’m now inspired to try making it at home!
Who knew barley and creamy risotto could pair so well? This is truly the charm of fusion Korean cuisine.

Next up was the Grilled Chicken Galbi Steak!
I'm usually a big fan of spicy chicken galbi, so I was excited to try this. 😆
What really intrigued me about this dish was the unique combination of sweet potato puree and red cabbage salad served alongside the chicken galbi.

True to its name, the 'Grilled Chicken Galbi Steak' arrived as a whole piece, meant to be sliced with a fork and knife.
Eating chicken galbi like a steak felt incredibly sophisticated and truly lived up to its name!
The chicken galbi seasoning itself was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice – appealing to most palates – and delicious on its own.

The sauce permeated every bite, making the chicken incredibly juicy and tender – a truly fantastic texture.
I never imagined chicken galbi could be this delicious when prepared like a steak!
But adding the red cabbage salad and sweet potato puree brought an extra layer of specialness to the familiar flavor.
The red cabbage salad was refreshingly tangy, similar to a carrot slaw, and the sweet potato puree was wonderfully smooth and sweet. Eating them together, according to my preference, allowed for a new taste experience with every bite – absolutely delicious! :)
Personally, both dishes were outstanding, but the Grilled Chicken Galbi Steak was so incredibly good that I’d happily come back just for that!
They have many other fusion Korean dishes (I’m curious about the Snow White Kimchi Fried Rice and Doenjang Carbonara Sujebi!), so next time I’d love to try the chicken galbi with a different pairing. 😋
If you’re looking for a slightly unique yet incredibly delicious Korean restaurant in Seongsu, I highly recommend Out of Order!
