This shop is perfectly situated in Jeju City, making it super easy to visit during your travels. Just a quick heads-up: if you search for 'Oneuljeju,' you might find a few other businesses, including pensions, so make sure to double-check the address to get to the right spot!
While it's part of the Shilla Duty Free building, you don't actually go inside the main duty-free store. The entrance to Oneuljeju is directly accessible from the outside. Just head to the left side when you're facing the building, and you'll spot it!

If you're driving, you can use the Shilla Duty Free parking garage. Just let them know you're visiting Oneuljeju, and your parking will be complimentary. Even though it's at Shilla Duty Free, it's a non-duty-free shop, so both locals and international visitors can enjoy their treats. It’s also a fantastic spot to pick up those last-minute Jeju souvenirs on your final day, especially since you can even pre-order for quick pickup!
Shop Vibes |
Stepping into Oneuljeju, you'll find another shop to the left, and Oneuljeju's vibrant space to the right. The first thing that catches your eye is the brilliant orange color scheme! 🍊

The citrusy hues immediately bring Jeju's famous tangerines to mind, instantly immersing you in the island's atmosphere. In the center, a circular display showcases Oneuljeju's star desserts, arranged at varying heights, with cute little Dol Hareubang figures perched on top. It's truly charming!

You'll also find a large Dol Hareubang statue and a tangerine tree, along with Jeju-inspired designs adorning the walls. The overall display is thoughtfully put together and really adds to the experience.

The shop is so beautifully decorated, you might even want to snap a few souvenir photos while you're there! Beyond the delicious desserts, Oneuljeju also sells merchandise featuring their charming character, like t-shirts, eco-bags, and keyrings, perfect for a little extra browsing.

Products |
Oneuljeju's star product is undoubtedly the 'Hareubangneu,' their delightful madeleines shaped like the iconic Dol Hareubang stone statues.

They come in a fantastic array of 8 flavors, all inspired by Jeju's local ingredients: Hallabong (a special tangerine), carrot, green tea, Opuntia ficus-indica (a type of cactus fruit), chocolate, black sesame, fig, and Earl Grey. It's a true taste of Jeju in every bite!
You can grab an 8-piece Hareubangneu gift set for ~$21, or a half-and-half 8-piece gift set for ~$22. They also offer chocolate-coated Hareubangneu gift sets, Hareubang Sandwiches, and Ang-butter Hareubangneu, so there's plenty to choose from. The Hareubang Sandwiches come in Jeju tangerine and Udo peanut flavors, also available in gift sets.

What I especially loved is that each baked good is individually wrapped, which is perfect for sharing or savoring over time.
My Purchase Review |
We ended up purchasing both the 8-piece Hareubangneu set and the half-and-half gift set. It was hard to choose just one!

The standard 8-piece Hareubangneu gift set was ~$21,
and the half-and-half Hareubangneu gift set was ~$22.

The half-and-half set is fantastic because it includes four classic Hareubangneu flavors (Hallabong, carrot, black sesame, fig) alongside four chocolate-coated ones (green tea, Opuntia ficus-indica, chocolate, Earl Grey). This way, you get to experience a variety of textures and tastes in one box!

Not only do these clearly say 'I went to Jeju!' but with so many different flavors, whoever receives them will have a blast picking their favorites.
I tried the Opuntia ficus-indica chocolate-coated Hareubangneu first, and it was divine!

The madeleine itself was wonderfully moist, and the chocolate coating perfectly complemented the subtle, refreshing tang of the Opuntia ficus-indica. Sometimes, Jeju souvenir baked goods with local flavors can be a bit overpowering, but these were perfectly balanced, which I really appreciated.
You can keep the madeleines at room temperature for about 5-6 days. If you plan to enjoy them longer, I recommend freezing them right away. They'll last for about a month in the freezer, so keep that in mind if you're stocking up on several sets!
Overall Verdict |
With their beautiful packaging and individual wraps, these are ideal for sharing with family, friends, or colleagues. If you're exploring Jeju City and on the hunt for unique Jeju souvenirs or delicious local desserts, make sure to swing by Oneuljeju before you head to the airport. Grabbing a box of Hareubangneu is the perfect way to bring a taste of Jeju home with you! 😀
