🐷Jongno 3-ga's Rooftop Samgyeopsal Spot:
Oksang Byeolguan is perfect for you if:
✔︎ You're craving delicious outdoor samgyeopsal.
✔︎ You're searching for a great rooftop samgyeopsal restaurant in Jongno 3-ga.
✔︎ You want to find an authentic outdoor BBQ experience in Euljiro.

Not long ago, my sister and I were debating where to eat in Euljiro. We stumbled upon Oksang Byeolguan, a rooftop restaurant perfect for enjoying samgyeopsal outdoors, especially with the beautiful weather we've been having recently! We made a reservation and eagerly headed over.

Luckily, after a short wait, we managed to snag a prime spot right by the railing, offering us a fantastic view of the city. It was definitely worth the brief wait!

Our table was set with a grill, plates, and cutlery, ready for our feast.
Menu Highlights

Since there were only two of us, and while the samgyeopsal here is famous, I'd heard great things about their seafood ramen too. So, to try a bit of everything, we ordered the "Oksang Half Plate," which is perfect for two.

The Oksang Half Plate came with 400g (about 14 ounces) of fresh pork belly, assorted mushrooms, grilled scallions, potatoes, honey cheese tomato, pickled radish, four types of dipping sauces, and a delicious bean sprout salad. What a spread!

I'd seen reviews mentioning smoked pork belly, but it seems they've changed things up, as ours wasn't smoked. It was a slight disappointment, but the pork belly was still incredibly tasty. Yum!

This spicy octopus topping was a freebie for leaving a receipt review. I expected just a tiny sample, but they were generous with the octopus, and the seasoning was surprisingly delicious. It tasted even better paired with the grilled pork! ❤️

Next up was the highly-praised Crab and Abalone Seafood Ramen! I initially wanted to try their famous Jjapaguri (Korean instant noodles), but it seems to have disappeared from the menu. So, I opted for the seafood ramen instead. At about ~$7, I wondered if it was overpriced, but the noodles were perfectly chewy, and the flavor was so good that I didn't regret it at all. Haha!

While I was a bit sad that both the smoked samgyeopsal and Jjapaguri were gone, I was happy to see that they served our beer in a cool ice bucket. It kept our drinks perfectly chilled throughout the meal!

We finished our meal with a spectacular fried rice! This might have been the best part, especially after waiting a bit longer due to a missed order... 😂

I had really wanted to see the night view, but our reservation was a bit early, and I thought we'd miss it. However, after experiencing about three missed orders, our meal extended longer than usual, and we ended up enjoying the evening skyline after all. Haha!
Oksang Byeolguan Insider Tips
When's the best time to book for a night view?

If catching the night view is your main goal, I highly recommend making a reservation for 7:00 PM or later. We were seated just after 6:30 PM, and it was still quite bright. So, aim for 7:00 PM onwards for the best experience!
Arrived early or waiting for your table?

Even with a reservation, we had a short wait. The good news is, you can wait comfortably at the bar on the 7th floor, and they even offer a complimentary welcome drink! It was delicious and a pleasant surprise.
Don't forget your receipt after your meal!

After settling your bill at Oksang Byeolguan, make sure to hold onto your receipt! If you take it down to the 7th-floor bar, you'll receive a free ice cream. I'm not usually a fan of cinnamon, but if you avoid the sprinkled part, it's absolutely delicious. So, definitely grab your receipt and treat yourself to some ice cream!

While I was a bit disappointed that the smoked samgyeopsal wasn't available and we experienced a few missed orders, if you love an outdoor dining atmosphere, you'll be completely enchanted by the vibe here. I highly recommend it!
