in the eastern part of Jeju.
How to Get There
By Bus:
Take Bus No. 211 bound for Seongsan Port
from Jeju Bus Terminal.
It takes about 1.5 hours,
and after getting off at Seongsan Port,
you'll need to walk for about 22 minutes.

From Jeju City,
it takes about
1 hour by car.
From Seongsan Ilchulbong,
it's only about 10 minutes.
Driving along the coastal road,
you'll be greeted by the vast open sea
and a charming little port.
It's peaceful, uncrowded,
and the perfect little neighborhood
to sit down and heal.
The path we walked
was just a short section,
but it's part of the
Seongsan Ojo Geo-Trail,
an 8.3km walking trail
that connects Seongsan Ilchulbong,
Ojo-ri Village,
Teojinmok, and Seongsan Port.
It would be an amazing place
for a trek
when the weather is nice!
Along the trail, you can see
Siksanbong Hill (Korea's largest natural habitat for Hibiscus hamabo),
the freshwater springs of Ojo-ri,
tumuli (traces of ancient volcanic activity),
and Seongsan Ilchulbong.
Parking
Since we rented a car,
we needed a place
to park.
You can park at the
Ojo-ri Welfare Center parking lot
or the
Ojo-ri Senior Center.

After parking,
if you walk just 250 meters,
you'll find the supermarket
frequently visited by Ji Chang-wook
and his friends in the K-drama
"Welcome to Samdal-ri"!
There's a coffee shop
that also sells juice
made from fresh Jeju carrots.
On your way, you'll see
beautiful carrot fields.
The weather was so nice—
the carrot fields look so gorgeous!

The coastal walking trail
At sunset
It's incredibly cute and charming,
making it the perfect place to take photos.
It feels almost like a calm lake,
so peaceful,
and with the beautiful weather,
there were so many birds around.
It almost feels like
wandering onto
a deserted island.
I had no idea
a place like this
existed in Jeju!
As the tide goes out,
a hidden
stone path
is revealed
stretching into the water.
Even though I was wearing sneakers,
it looked a little risky
and felt like I might slip,
so I didn't actually cross all the way.
But I made sure to take
lots of photos right in front of it!
Though I did see
some brave people
crossing over the stones.
There's also a fish farm here.
To the right of the fish farm,
it connects to Olle Trail Route 2,
making it a great spot for a stroll.
Just a heads up,
since it is a working fish farm
and isn't heavily maintained,
if you visit during the summer,
there might be a bit of a smell
or some bugs around.
It turns out dramas like
"No, Thank You,"
"On the Way to the Airport,"
and "Welcome to Samdal-ri"
were all filmed here!

Walk just a bit further,
and Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak)
starts to peek through.
Let's get a closer look!
Even though I've seen
Seongsan Ilchulbong many times before,
seeing it from this new angle
gives it a completely
different feel.
A great trip doesn’t always need to be packed
with grand, famous landmarks.
Even though this is a small,
quiet place,
recalling scenes from the dramas
while taking a slow walk
made it feel like finding
a unique,
hidden treasure.
It made the journey
all the more
memorable and special.

To get a closer look
and lose ourselves in the warm sound of vinyl,
we're heading over to a cozy music-listening cafe.

Take bus No. 211 from Jeju Bus Terminal toward Seongsan Port, which takes about an hour and a half. After getting off at Seongsan Port, it is about a 22-minute walk to the destination.
You can park at the Ojo-ri Community Welfare Center parking lot or the Ojo-ri Senior Center. From there, it is only a 250m walk to the supermarket featured in the drama 'Welcome to Samdal-ri'.
The right side of the fish farm is part of Olle Trail Route 2 and is open for walking, but the facilities are not very well maintained. Therefore, if you visit in the summer, please be aware that there may be odors or insects.
A stone path appears as the tide goes out, but it can be a bit dangerous to cross due to the risk of falling into the water. Rather than forcing yourself to cross, it is recommended to enjoy the view and take photos in front of the stone path.
