Today, I'm sharing my visit to 'Ojeon Yeolhanshi' (Eleven AM),

a fantastic Jungmun restaurant that gave me such a satisfying meal

during my Jeju trip.

With a name that's full of charm, this place is already highly praised by many.

After parking in the dedicated lot next to the restaurant,

we headed down towards the entrance.

Atmosphere & Interior Full of Charm

Restaurant Exterior

Ojeon Yeolhanshi occupies a standalone building,

and from its exterior, the sophisticated architecture and the charmingly designed

garden immediately catch your eye, exuding an aesthetic that photo-lovers will absolutely

adore.

Before even stepping inside, I discovered so many

perfect spots for photos!

Restaurant Interior

The clean interior, reminiscent of a trendy cafe,

and the high ceilings gave a wonderful sense of spaciousness.

The tables are well-spaced, making it perfect for intimate

conversations and meals with your companions,

and with its overall modern yet warm

wood-toned furniture, it was also an excellent spot for capturing those

Instagram-worthy aesthetic photos.

They even thoughtfully prepared

chargers for traveling guests – how considerate!

While the menu here is concise, the quality of each dish is absolutely

outstanding.

We decided to order all three of their signature dishes.

Abalone Fried Rice

Signature Dish

The moment it arrives, prepare for a gasp-worthy visual!

Imagine fluffy rice stir-fried with rich, savory abalone innards,

topped with perfectly plump, grilled abalone.

But what truly stole the show was the incredible

peanut cream sauce swirling around it.

This rich, nutty sauce beautifully mellowed out any potential hint of fishiness from the abalone innards,

creating a fantastically harmonious flavor that absolutely everyone, from kids to adults, will adore!

The peanut cream sauce was so unbelievably delicious that

we just had to get a refill! My kids absolutely

raved about it, already asking to go back next time.

Soy-Marinated Shrimp Rice (Ganjang Saeu-bap)

This dish features a generous helping of

perfectly prepared soy-marinated shrimp.

The best part? The shrimp are already peeled,

making it incredibly easy and enjoyable to eat.

Our secret soy sauce, a perfect balance of sweet and savory

without being too salty, coats every single grain of rice,

delivering an explosion of umami in every bite!

Break open the accompanying egg yolk and

mix it all together for an unparalleled richness that's truly divine.

Dongchimi Noodles with Sliced Boiled Pork (Suyuk)

After a feast of seafood, this dish offers the perfect refreshing

palate cleanser to finish your meal.

The icy Dongchimi broth, with its delightful floating shards of ice,

wonderfully cleanses your palate, while the accompanying suyuk

is incredibly tender and chewy, with absolutely no gamey odor.

Wrapping a warm, tender slice of suyuk in those refreshingly cool noodles?

Now that's what we call a match made in culinary heaven!

It was a particular favorite of my mother.

It was so utterly delicious, we simply had to

clean our plates!

Value for Money

Considering the typical prices on Jeju Island, I felt that the stunning

presentation and heartfelt effort put into each dish offered

exceptional value for money. Absolutely worth every penny!

Even among Jeju's fantastic eateries, Ojeon Yeolhanshi stands out for one brilliant

reason: their incredibly creative and delicious sauces!

It's truly impressive how they transformed what could be a simple abalone fried rice by adding that luscious cream sauce,

creating a truly unique and exclusive dish you won't find anywhere else.

What's more, the meticulous plating, with attention paid to every single

piece of tableware, made us feel truly pampered and special.

On my next trip to Jeju, if I'm anywhere near Jungmun,

this spot will unequivocally be my number one

choice for lunch!
