Object Hongdae Review: Stationery Shopping in Seoul
Discover Object Seokyo, Hongdae's premier design shop. Check out our review of the creative space and the exclusive INAPI SQUARE pop-up exhibition in Seoul.
A country mouse's Seoul adventure!
To celebrate visiting Hongdae,
I stopped by one of the absolute best spots in the area
and my personal favorite hangout... the Hongdae stationery shop,
Object!
I think I've written at least 10 blog posts
just about Object already, but...
Even though they have a few permanent design brands,
their pop-up themes change so often
that my wallet flies wide open every single time I visit.
It's basically a cute little pocket-thief! Haha.

INAP SQUARE Exhibition
(~until August 23rd)

One of my absolute favorites, INAP SQUARE!
They already have a permanent spot in Object,
but here is some even more exciting news for INAP fans!
A gorgeous special exhibition has been set up on the 1st floor.
work hard
It features about 150 original drawing works by the artist,
ceramic pots,
collaboration items and lamps with B-MIX and Thermos,
T-shirts, caps, giant tote bags,
and even cute iron-on patches.
So many colorful and unique goods to look at...

Ceramic pot price: ~$128
The artist behind INAP SQUARE must be so proud...

...Original drawing price: ~$64
If the price were somewhere in the middle,
I might have seriously contemplated buying it.
But since it was way out of my budget, it made moving on very easy! Haha ^^;
Yep, it was lovely window shopping!

But they are just SO incredibly cute...

The coasters are adorable,

and smaller items like stickers and handkerchiefs
are super sweet, too.
(And actually affordable!)

9 * 5 = 45
Right now, you are looking at
a wall worth ~$2,881!

Browsing the Cute Knick-Knacks at Object

Oh my goodness...
The Bamtee plushie, once famous as a K-pop idol favorite,
is finally officially released!

hahahaha

They also have super cute dumpling and onigiri plushies!

K-Traditional Merch
These keychains and figures totally steal the spotlight.

Even if you don't travel to Jeju Island,
you can meet Jeju Baby Samchoon
right here in Seoul!

Makes me wonder if artist INAPI
is secretly an ARMY (BTS fan)...
forever young
young forever
and hope...

Even the staircases are so beautifully decorated,
making every single corner a feast for the eyes!
4th Floor: Object Arcade
DIY Patches (Wappen)
If you wander up here by mistake,
you might not escape bankruptcy...
Welcome to the Object Arcade,
located on the 4th floor!
You can customize your own patches here.
But if you design it to your exact taste,
it will seriously empty your wallet...
(But oh-so-worth-it because it's so cute!)

There is such a huge variety of items,

from the adorable Choi Gosim to INAPSQUARE,
and even basic base patches.
The selection of designs is absolutely massive!
Patches are ~$3... let's pretend I didn't see that...

But wait, wouldn't a reusable cup sleeve
actually be good for the environment?
(*justifying my spending* 🙈)

There are so many custom patches that feel made just for me,

including this dried croaker patch (?)
that serves as a hilarious warning for my reckless spending habit!
Haha!
Plus, they have masking tape, stickers, and so much more.
Honestly, every cute piece of stationery and little accessory in the world
seems to be gathered right here...
So, hide your wallets! 💸
