For those truly special occasions, like a wedding anniversary,
you need an unforgettable event that will be cherished for years to come!
My partner and I ventured to Samseong-dong, Seoul,
specifically, to the Oakwood Premier COEX Center,
where we indulged in a magnificent steak course.

Oak Restaurant, nestled within the Oakwood Premier COEX Center,
is conveniently located at COEX, close to Samseong Station and Bongeunsa Station.
This makes it absolutely perfect for a romantic dinner after a day of exploring or a casual date.
And here's a major plus: enjoy 3 hours of complimentary parking when dining at the restaurant.
If someone in your party prefers not to drink wine,
you can arrive by car and enjoy a truly relaxed meal without a worry.
Inside, the restaurant exudes the sophisticated charm you'd expect from a premier hotel dining spot.
It boasts a luxurious yet cozy ambiance,
and the service, true to a 5-star hotel, was simply impeccable!

Oak Restaurant's signature steak courses are truly special,
offering two distinct options, Course A and Course B, based on the overall composition and the type of main steak.
And for an even more exquisite experience, adding a wine pairing
introduces three carefully selected wines—champagne, white, and red—
perfectly complementing each dish in your course.

we decided to elevate the experience with the wine pairing! :)
Having consistently earned the prestigious Blue Ribbon since 2023,
it's certainly a certified must-try restaurant at COEX, Samseong-dong, wouldn't you agree? 😉
3. Our Dining Experience
My husband, a true fan of rich, savory beef flavor,
opted for Course A, featuring the delectable Ribeye Steak.
As for me, I firmly believe that steak should always be a melt-in-your-mouth tenderloin,
so I naturally chose Course B.
Let's dive into Steak Course A first!

The culinary journey of Steak Course A began with
the delightful Marinated Webfoot Octopus and Kelp Salad.
This zesty and incredibly fresh salad, with its delightfully chewy and crunchy textures,
certainly did an excellent job of whetting our appetites!
It paired absolutely wonderfully with the Champagne from our wine pairing.
Next up, the Sweet Chodang Corn Soup was a delightful surprise.
Its naturally sweet flavor was universally appealing, a dish anyone would surely savor.
Next up, the abalone innards sauce risotto was
truly infused with the deep aroma of the sea in every grain of rice,
so much so that I ate every last bit without leaving a single grain! 😄
Pairing it with white wine,
the rich, savory notes of the abalone innards sauce were even more pronounced.
The prime ribeye steak not only had fantastic marbling but also,
thanks to perfect grilling, it was crispy on the outside
and incredibly juicy on the inside – absolutely delicious.
I loved the rich, beefy aroma characteristic of ribeye and its savory marbling,
and pairing it with red wine gently enhanced the meat's flavor,
making it even more enjoyable.
The refreshing mango mousse cake and vanilla ice cream
were perfect for cleansing the palate, especially with coffee! :)
Next, Steak Course B offers
a slightly more refined experience.

We started our meal delightfully with the fresh sirloin carpaccio,
paired with a wonderful wine-pairing champagne.
The Porcini Mushroom Soup, served with fragrant buna shimeji mushrooms,
had an exceptionally rich flavor.
If you love mushrooms, you'll absolutely adore this!
The Lobster Lemon Butter Sauce Risotto
combined plump lobster, infused with refreshing lemon and buttery notes,
to create a truly deep and satisfying flavor.
With white wine accompanying it,
both the taste and the ambiance were simply perfect! :)
The tenderloin steak, the main dish of Course B, was perfectly cooked,
and incredibly soft in the mouth.
Its clean yet profound natural flavor was excellent,
and the endive garnish complemented it beautifully.
Savoring the meal leisurely with red wine,
both the taste and the atmosphere were truly satisfying.
For dessert, a smooth Cheese Charlotte Cake and Lemon Sorbet!
Paired with decaffeinated coffee, it was the perfect clean finish
to our wonderful meal! :)

Steak Course A features premium sirloin steak as the main, and includes dishes such as webfoot octopus with kelp, and abalone with sea urchin sauce risotto. Course B features premium tenderloin steak as the main, and offers dishes such as beef sirloin carpaccio and lobster lemon butter sauce risotto.
If 5 or more guests add wine pairing, there is a 50% discount on the pairing price until June.
