3. Yeongdong Snack: Nonhyeon Station's Anju Hotspot

Since I went straight after work without dinner, I ordered a few heartier dishes along with some lighter options, and everything was absolutely delicious! ✨

First up, the Okinawa Draft Beer had a uniquely rich foam. The creamy texture was visibly dense, and upon tasting, it was incredibly smooth and clean, feeling like a truly premium beer experience.

There are two versions of Tonkotsu Ramen, and we opted for the Spicy Tonkotsu. The broth was exquisitely rich with a satisfying kick.
It was generously topped with bean sprouts and green onions, providing a delightful crunch, and the tender chashu pork belly paired perfectly with the ramen.

We also ordered the Crab Innard Cream Croquettes, and they were even better than expected!

Inside the thin, crispy shell was a generous amount of rich crab innard. Its unique savory flavor and creamy, melt-in-your-mouth texture were simply divine. There was no hint of fishiness, making them the perfect companion for a cold beer. My friend and I both agreed this was the standout dish!

Having finished our beers, we moved on to highballs. I tried Irish Car Bomb, one of Yeongdong Snack's signature cocktails. It was refreshingly zesty with a hint of lemon, and the alcohol taste was subtle, making it a great choice for those who prefer milder drinks.

Next was the Mentaiko Dashimaki, a rolled omelet topped with mentaiko (spicy pollock roe).
This was a combination I hadn't tried before, but the sweet, fluffy omelet paired with the salty mentaiko created a delightful sweet-and-salty balance. It was truly an ideal anju for an izakaya setting.

Finally, we ordered the Mentaiko Cucumber.
Crisp cucumber + salty mentaiko + creamy mayonnaise – this combination is simply unbeatable! It's a light and refreshing side dish, perfect for when you're already a bit full but want to keep the good times rolling.

From affordable and delicious anju to a diverse selection of drinks, Yeongdong Snack offers a truly satisfying experience!
The food is tasty and reasonably priced, the ambiance is cozy and trendy with a Japanese izakaya feel, and the seating is perfect for solo diners or couples seeking comfort. Overall, it was a highly satisfying bar experience.
If you're looking for a great spot for solo drinking in Nonhyeon Station or a trendy place for a second round, I highly recommend visiting Yeongdong Snack!
