National Museum of Korea Souvenirs 2026: Unique Gifts from Seoul
Explore the National Museum of Korea's amazing gift shop! Discover unique cultural souvenirs, from Pensive Bodhisattva miniatures to elegant Moon Jar items, with recommendations for every budget.

I recently visited the currently super popular
National Museum of Korea gift shop
to check out their latest merchandise!
Personally, I think the merchandise quality is even better than
that of the Louvre Museum in France, which I recently visited! 🤭

National Museum of Korea Gift Shop Location
Location: Eotseum Hall, 1st Floor, West Wing, National Museum of Korea
Operating Hours: 10 AM - 6 PM
(Wed, Sat 10 AM - 9 PM)
Pro Tip for finding the Gift Shop!
Instead of entering the main exhibition halls of the National Museum of Korea,
head towards the special exhibition galleries,
specifically, enter through the left entrance by the stairs seen in the photo,
and you'll get there quickly.
From there, don't go down the escalator;
instead, just enter inside the 1st floor building.

National Museum of Korea Merchandise Recommendations
NMK Merchandise Picks: Under ~$7

The first things that caught my eye were
the mother-of-pearl hologram stickers and masking tape,
which look incredibly useful for decorating!
Price: ~$2 - ~$3

Though affordable, the bookmark collection also had a wide variety,
making them perfect gifts.
Price: ~$3 - ~$3

Isn't that Goryeo Celadon memo pad
such a brilliant idea?
It unfolds into the shape of celadon pottery... so genius!
The Dancheong pocket clipboard, perfect for quick notes,
was also adorable.
Price: ~$4 - ~$6

There were also slightly more elegant versions of the
Gat (traditional hat) and Gache (traditional wig) bookmarks!
And the Bell Sound Cup, which makes a clear ringing sound,
looked cute and great value for money :)
The only downside is that the colors are random,
so you can't pick your preferred color.
Price: ~$7
NMK Merchandise Picks: ~$7 - ~$22
This price range is probably where most people
will find the best items for their National Museum of Korea merchandise shopping.
It offers a great balance!

Among the NMK merchandise, the keyrings
come in a truly diverse range of styles, but
this Lotus Blossom Keyring caught my eye with its beautiful colors
and seemingly good value!
Price: ~$8

The Magpie and Tiger badge, made famous by K-Pop Demon Hunters,
and the Celadon and Baekja magnets are also so beautiful, aren't they?
Price: ~$11 - ~$11

This National Museum of Korea Desk Calendar for 2026 was
incredibly gorgeous in person..!
It’s a book-style calendar where each month features a golden crown theme,
and everything from the paper texture to the gold thread felt incredibly luxurious.
Price: ~$12

The photos might make them look a bit plain,
but these AirPods and Buds Live Cases
were surprisingly cool in person!
Usually, these kind of pretty accessories
are only available for Apple AirPods, but
it was great to see Samsung Buds Live cases too.
Price: ~$13

The mother-of-pearl round coasters and
the phone straps embedded with Goryeo celadon and beads
also caught my eye.
Price: ~$13

Goryeo celadon just makes everything beautiful
when you incorporate it as a concept.
The Goryeo Celadon Cloud & Crane Pattern Keyring and
the Traditional Knot Tassel Hair Scrunchie
were the same price, and hmm, I'd give my vote to the keyring!
Price: ~$14

This was also really cool!
It was a coloring kit that used gold foil, a traditional craft technique
used since the Three Kingdoms period!
I didn't get it this time, but I definitely want to try it next time 🫢
Price: ~$16

These mother-of-pearl stickers
are not really useful, but they are so dazzling..!
There was a price difference between the products, and
the Irworobongdo (Sun, Moon, and Five Peaks) one I picked up
was the most expensive.
Price: ~$9 - ~$16

There were so many kinds of eco-bags, but
personally, the one that caught my eye the most was
the Irworobongdo (Sun, Moon, and Five Peaks) cloth bag,
lavishly decorated with gold thread on a black background.
Price: ~$18

I absolutely adore pop-up books ㅠㅠ
A National Museum of Korea Artifact Pop-up Book?!
I thought about it, but it seemed a bit pricey,
so I reluctantly put it back down.
Price: ~$20

The mini accessories featuring mother-of-pearl techniques
were also incredibly beautiful.
From a mother-of-pearl ring,
to a mother-of-pearl hair clip,
and even a mother-of-pearl keyring!
Price: ~$10 - ~$22

This one is
super popular among foreigners, LOL!
It's the kind where your face turns red when you drink alcohol:
The Color-Changing Scholar Soju Glass Set (3 Pieces)
It was already sold out when I visited.
Price: ~$19

Personally, I really loved this
Desk Clock.
It seems to be themed after traditional Hanji paper window frames and flowers,
isn't it just so beautiful?! ㅠㅠ
If I hadn't just bought a desk clock recently,
I would have bought it right away...
I'll add this one to my bucket list for sure!
Price: ~$21

This is a lovely Celadon Pouch with a Goryeo Celadon concept,
and Goryeo Celadon is just amazing, as expected...
No, seriously, the quality is really great.
They captured the soft texture so perfectly.
Price: ~$21

And finally,
I completely fell for the elegant form of this
stunningly beautiful Crystal Paperweight.
Price: ~$22
NMK Merchandise Recommendations: ~$22 ~ ~$44
If you're looking for a special souvenir that's a bit more memorable,
or choosing something for a gift,
this price range might be what you're thinking of.

I saw it and it was so luxurious that
the price almost felt cheap (?!):
The Gonryongpo Cup Set!
It would make such a wonderful gift.
Price: ~$26

These are items you'll definitely want if you're interested in interior decor.
The Bird-Shaped Earthenware Miniature has such a unique vibe,
and the Celadon Flower-Shaped Plate,
and Celadon Makgeolli Glass Set were also beautiful.
Price: ~$22 - ~$28

What is it about the Bangatou Series
that makes them so incredibly cute?! LOL!
Seriously, aren't the NMK merchandise just too cool?
The Seokguram Grotto Lamp feels a bit pricey, but
it has such a wonderful ambiance that
it would be perfect as a mood light.
Price: ~$31 - ~$34

If you go up a bit in price,
you'll find more stylish tableware like these.
My top pick is the small plate in the left photo,
the Lotus Engraved Plate!
They are truly elegant in person.
Price: ~$33 - ~$43
NMK Merchandise Recommendations: ~$44 and Up
From this point on, these items are perhaps
less of a simple souvenir or gift and more
in the realm of a collector's piece.

From the colors to the ceramic texture,
the utterly elegant Royal Imperial Spoons and Chopstick Rest,
and the **White Porcelain Bottle with Cord Pattern**, which I thought was the prettiest piece at the Joseon Dynasty New Art exhibition this past summer.
Price: ~$44 - ~$47

This might be one of the most famous pieces of merchandise from the National Museum of Korea.
It’s so incredibly stylish, it sparks a strong desire to own it, but this Pensive Bodhisattva is like a unicorn, always sold out!
Price: ~$47

Each piece is a highly collectible design:
the Sasaek Midam Soju Glass Set
and the Cheonmachong Gold Crown Cloth, haha!
If you wrap yourself in that gold crown cloth and pour soju into these glasses,
you'll feel just like royalty from the Unified Silla era!
Price: ~$58 - ~$66

Following in the footsteps of the Pensive Bodhisattva,
we have the incredibly stylish (oh my!) Baekje Gilt-bronze Incense Burner.
The original artifact is truly spectacular and opulent,
and they've captured that essence perfectly, without being over-the-top, while still giving it a modern twist.
The colors are just incredible!
Price: ~$72

And then there are various Najeon-Chilgi (mother-of-pearl lacquerware) pieces.
The prices vary wildly depending on the size, but the smaller items
seem to be quite reasonably priced, don't you think?
Price: ~$35 - ~$182

This product also caused a huge stir when it first launched,
with frequent sell-outs!
Now, there seemed to be quite a bit of stock available.
It's the famous Dancheong Keyboard that widely spread the "greatness" of the National Museum of Korea's merchandise!
Price: ~$87

Wow... modest yet beautiful! Seriously, who knew a "soban" (small traditional table) could be so stunning?
However, the prices were a bit on the higher side for these:
the Mother-of-Pearl Soban and the Cream-Colored Soban.
Price: ~$124 - ~$255

Another soban!
This Silver Pink Lacquerware Soban
had a truly exquisite color.
And on the right, the Fierce Tiger Print is a collaboration product with KOMSCO (Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation), which I found fascinating!
It's currently available for pre-order and will be shipped starting in December.
Price: ~$350 - ~$361

Finally, the utterly radiant Silla Cheonmachong Gold Crown!
It reminded me of the gift President Trump received when he recently visited Gyeongju, haha.
Price: ~$405

When you purchase merchandise at the National Museum of Korea,
you can also buy gift wrapping or bags separately.
Even the packaging is perfect! 🤭
Even though I was a bit tired after seeing the exhibition,
I ended up browsing the gift shop for over an hour, completely enchanted!
It almost felt like I'd visited another exhibition?
If you ever visit the National Museum of Korea,
I highly recommend you check out the gift shop!
