Mullae Cafe Steel Bite Review 2026: Cozy Attic & Specialty Coffee
Stumble upon Steel Bite Cafe in Seoul's Mullae Creative Village, a hidden gem blending industrial charm with cozy vibes. Enjoy specialty coffee and unique attic seating.

While exploring Mullae Art Village,
I stumbled upon a cafe called
Mullae Steel Bite.
Mullae-dong is a unique neighborhood where the raw vibe of ironworks
coexists with incredibly stylish cafes,
so every time I visit,
it's exciting to discover new places.

On this particular day, I was looking for a quiet spot to chat
and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, so I sought this place out.
And to give you the spoiler right away,
the attic seating here was incredibly cozy!
While there aren't many seats,
parking is available right in front of the cafe!

I visited around 4 PM on a Sunday,
and when I first arrived, it was completely full!

The interior isn't very spacious,
so many visitors came in groups of 1-2 people.

But luckily, after a short wait,
the attic seating upstairs became free,
so I quickly climbed up!

After settling in,
I came back down to order.
It turns out the restroom is right under that attic space!
They really made clever use of the space, haha.
Many cafes in Mullae
often have inconvenient restroom access
or require you to go outside.
So, I really appreciated having an indoor restroom here.
Just a heads-up, the stairs are quite steep,
so you need to be careful!
Perhaps that's why they kindly bring
your ordered items directly to you :)

Mullae Steel Bite uses a
professional roasting machine called the Loring S7,
made in the USA.

They even have a separate roasting room
and a diverse menu of specialty coffees,
which truly showed me the owner's passion for coffee.
Even though it's a small roastery cafe,
the roasting machine itself stood out as exceptional!

Surprisingly, even for a roastery cafe,
they also have a wide variety of tea options.
We visited as a pair,
and here's what we ordered:
Bite Flat White ~$4
Law of Universal Gravitation ~$4
There's a ~$1 discount for takeout,
an additional ~$1 for a double shot,
and a ~$0 surcharge for decaf changes.

Where you could directly experience
such a variety of specialty coffee aromas!

Desserts were mainly croissants and tarts,
but perhaps because I visited late in the afternoon,
there weren't many pastries left :)

What was surprisingly satisfying
at Steel Bite Mullae was this
attic seating area.
The ceiling is a bit low,
and it feels snugly enclosed,
giving it a secret hideout vibe.
It was perfect for two people to sit and
chat quietly.
I'd want to sit here again if I revisited.
If you're looking for a date cafe in Mullae,
I highly recommend this spot!

The menu item I ordered was the Iced Flat White.
With the first sip, I tasted the nutty flavor first,
and the acidity wasn't overpowering.
The milk foam was also smooth,
making it a flavor that latte lovers would generally enjoy.
Rather than a strong, acidic specialty coffee,
it was a well-balanced type that was easy to drink.

This menu item was ordered because its name was so striking.
It's an apple blended tea called
"Law of Universal Gravitation",
and its subtly spreading apple scent is truly charming.
It wasn't too sweet,
and the subtle freshness that emerged made it
a great alternative to coffee.
Whenever I discover unique blended tea menus like this,
it just makes me happy.
Recommended for those looking for a special tea menu in Mullae.
