Mondrian Seoul Hotel | Room Reviews
The Mondrian Hotel, located near Itaewon and Hannam,
When you enter on the 1st floor, you'll find the lobby lounge, a cafe, and restaurants.
Hotel check-in is on the 2nd floor.
Inside the room, you'll find information on how to thoroughly enjoy
the picnic experience
that you can have at the Mondrian.
There are guide notices in both Korean and English.
The types, locations, and operating hours of restaurants within the Mondrian Hotel,
as well as pool usage times and nearby attractions, were also detailed.
As a Korean who already knew all this, I wasn't particularly moved,
but for international guests,
it would likely be very useful.
While the rooms at the Itaewon Mondrian Hotel aren't
spacious in themselves,
they boast modern and clean facilities, and
there was clear effort to efficiently arrange amenities within the space.
When you open the Mondrian Hotel room door and step inside,
you'll find a closet right next to the door with bathrobes and slippers,
and
🧊
Next to it, there's a cabinet with an ice bucket, wine glasses, a kettle,
and a Nespresso coffee machine.
🚽
Further inside, there's the bathroom,
and directly in front of the bathroom, a sink and mirror are placed,
You could really feel the effort to maximize space and maintain a pristine, hotel-room vibe.
✔️✔️
That's why, rather than for families,
it's a hotel I'd highly recommend more for couples or friends traveling together.
🪞
Especially when you're with friends, you won't have to fight over a single mirror!
With double-sided mirrors at the Mondrian Hotel, you can totally save time getting ready – a huge plus!
The vanity here neatly separates the shower and toilet areas within the room, keeping things streamlined!
Both the shower and toilet booths at Mondrian Hotel have opaque glass, so no awkward moments here!!
Right next to the Mondrian Hotel bed,
you'll find these charming, refreshing artworks,
and handy bedside lamps.
Overall, the room has a wonderfully calm and collected vibe.
My absolute favorite feature at the Mondrian Itaewon Hotel was,
this water dispenser!!!!!!!💦💦💦
Seriously, this water dispenser is amazing!
Beyond the complimentary bottled water,
I'm the type of person who's ALWAYS thirsty, and let me tell you,
seeing a water dispenser right in the hotel room, just like I've seen in some Singapore hotels,
was such a welcome sight!
It's fantastic to have unlimited access to water.
Now I don't have to feel bad about using bottled water for making coffee anymore.... what a relief!
And if you ask at the Mondrian Hotel's info desk,
they'll even lend you a giant humidifier like this one!
I absolutely despise dry air, so I usually end up wetting towels and hanging them around the room just to cope.
This humidifier is seriously, REALLY amazing!
With it, my nose didn't get stuffy even with the AC blasting,
and the air coming out was so cool and refreshing – truly the best!
I slept like a baby.
I wonder if other 5-star hotels in Seoul might also lend humidifiers if you ask?
But this was my first time borrowing a humidifier at the Mondrian, so I was super thrilled!
Mondrian Hotel's coffee, tea, and coffee cups.
I felt that even the coffee cups perfectly matched the hotel's aesthetic.
And it was a lovely touch to have O'sulloc tea available.
Given that many international guests visit this hotel,
it's a perfect opportunity to savor Korea's famous green tea, O'sulloc!
Here's a peek inside the Mondrian Itaewon Hotel's fridge.
By the way, the pineapple juice and tonic in there are things we picked up from a convenience store ourselves!
Since we were planning to have some drinks, we even grabbed a 'Yeomyung 808' (a classic Korean hangover cure!) from the Mondrian Hotel's convenience store as a nostalgic touch!
** The convenience store located within the Mondrian Hotel is
on the B1 level,
and its operating hours are
8 AM to 10 PM (or until 11 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays).
This is what the shower booth in the Mondrian Hotel bathroom looks like.
Sadly, even the suites at the Mondrian Hotel
don't have a bathtub.
Does this mean they just want you to go swim in the Mondrian Hotel pool?
This bathtub lover shed a tear, sob.
The interior of the Mondrian bathroom shower booth is also cleanly designed with blue tones,
and the trash can is discreetly hidden right under the sink.
When you check into the Mondrian Hotel, they even give you mini yakgwa (traditional Korean honey cookies) as a welcome gift!
The Mondrian Hotel body lotion is conveniently located on the right side of the sink.
I almost cried thinking there was no body lotion, but there it was!
However, the view outside the Mondrian Hotel isn't particularly special...
it's just an apartment view.
The Mondrian Hotel is an Accor hotel,
so for those who want to use Accor discounts or earn points, go for it! ⤵️
If breakfast isn't part of your room package at the Mondrian Hotel, you can pay for it on-site. Their breakfast buffet offers a fantastic spread of Western, Asian, Continental, and English styles, though it comes at ~$41 per person.
Honestly, we found the breakfast quite pricey.
For that money,
I'd highly recommend checking out the super tasty Makguksu restaurant located just across the street!
To be honest, we're not huge fans of hotel breakfasts ourselves, so we actually skipped it.
This means I don't have much to share about the Mondrian Hotel's breakfast experience from personal experience...
