Places to Visit Near Seoul on a Rainy Day
Yangpyeong Mirinaehillbing Club
Jjimjilbang / Single-Story Private Villa Stay Review

Just an hour from Seoul!
I recently visited Yangpyeong Mirinaehillbing Club, a perfect spot to take your parents on a rainy day, located in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, just outside of Seoul.
To get straight to the point, this place isn't your typical jjimjilbang;
it's closer to a full-day healing sanctuary offering everything from
foot baths and warm saunas to Five Senses and Five Elements therapies, and even a healthy buffet.

At first, I was a bit disappointed, thinking we wouldn't be able to fully enjoy the outdoors,
but after experiencing it, I realized it's actually even more perfect for a rainy day!
Imagine warm foot baths while gazing at the rain-drenched forest outside the window,
then warming your body while lying on bio-ceramic balls,
and indulging in a delicious, healthy buffet before relaxing some more.
It was completely different from a trip where you hop from one tourist spot to another –
this was a truly restorative healing journey.

And we didn't just visit the Healing Club and leave;
we even enjoyed an overnight stay in a single-story private villa right next door!

In this post, I'll share everything about my personal experience at Yangpyeong Mirinaehillbing Club,
covering reservation prices, jjimjilbang facilities, the well-being buffet,
my review of visiting on a rainy day, and our stay in the single-story private villa.
Let's dive in!

1. Mirinaehillbing Club Prices & How to Book
Operating Hours: 09:30~18:00 (Last entry 17:00)

Yangpyeong Mirinaehillbing Club isn't just a jjimjilbang where you buy an admission ticket;
instead, you need to book it as a package that includes admission, lunch, and a beverage.
When I first saw the price, I thought,
“A jjimjilbang for around ~$42 per person seems quite steep, doesn't it?”
But after spending a full day there, I realized it's not just about the sauna facilities –
it also includes a lunch buffet and a cafe drink,
and you can stay from morning till evening.
So, you really have to look at it a bit differently from a typical jjimjilbang.
Category | Weekdays Adult / Child | Weekends & Holidays Adult / Child |
Healing Package | ~$42 / ~$24 | ~$45 / ~$27 |
Healing Plus | ~$48 / ~$30 | ~$51 / ~$33 |
Yangpyeong Resident Healing Package | ~$39 / ~$22 | ~$41 / ~$25 |
Accommodating Guest Healing Package | ~$39 / ~$22 | ~$41 / ~$25 |
*Children are defined as ages 36 months and older up to elementary school age.
*Children under 36 months are free of charge.

The Healing Package includes
admission to the Healing Club, lunch, and one drink,
while the Healing Plus adds a snack on top of that.
Especially if you're looking to combine it with an overnight stay, just like we did,
there's something special you'll want to take note of!

Overnight guests receive a discount of ~$3 per person on the basic Healing Package,
allowing you to enjoy it for ~$39 per adult on weekdays.

The price includes lunch!
Lunch is served as a healthy buffet!
If purchased separately, it costs ~$21 for adults and ~$11 for children.
Operating hours are from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with last entry at 1:00 PM,
and it's divided into Session 1 at 11:30 AM / Session 2 at 12:30 PM.

So, when you consider that the basic package of ~$42 already includes
a lunch buffet and a drink, worth ~$21, it's definitely something to keep in mind when comparing prices.
How to Make a Reservation?
Mireune Healing Club offers easy booking through Naver Reservation,
where you can instantly select your date and the number of people.

You can reserve up to 10 Healing Packages,
and since it's such a popular spot these days,
weekends often get fully booked,
so I highly recommend booking in advance as soon as your travel plans are set.

If you're aiming for a full day of relaxation and an overnight stay, just like we did,
booking accommodation along with your package is also a great option!
Accommodation options range from single-story to duplex units, pool villas, and caravans, among others,
and the rates are as follows:

2. What Facilities Await You?

After exploring Mirinae Healing Club firsthand,
I discovered a surprisingly wide array of themes, including
Bio-Ceramic Ball Steaming, Five Elements Therapy, Five Senses Therapy,
Aroma Therapy, and various Foot Bath facilities!
There's truly a diverse range of themes.

Therapeutic Heat Themes to Warm Your Body
When you're at a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), breaking a sweat isn't an option, it's a must!
The heated therapy spaces include the Bio-Ceramic Ball Steam room,
Gudeuljang (traditional heated floor), Five Elements Therapy, and more.

The Bio-Ceramic Ball Steam is
a unique bed-like facility where you lie amongst small, warm ceramic balls to experience a steam session.
Unlike traditional jjimjilbangs where you only feel the heat from the floor,
I loved how the ceramic balls envelop your body, enhancing the steaming effect.

The Gudeuljang (traditional heated floor), as its name suggests, is a distinctly Korean steam theme where you relax by lying on a wonderfully warm floor, and it was quite popular.

The Five Elements Therapy is a steam room located in an outdoor area,
designed as a heated therapy space themed around the five Eastern elements: Wood (木), Fire (火), Earth (土), Metal (金), and Water (水).
The temperature here was definitely high and the humidity just right,
making it a perfect spot to break a good sweat. I was completely satisfied!

Five Senses Therapy & Aroma Therapy
On the flip side, for moments when you just want to lie down and quietly relax,
the Five Senses Therapy was perfect.

It’s designed as a comfortable relaxation space, utilizing colors, scents, music, and sounds to create a serene atmosphere.
It was so peaceful that many people were enjoying a midday nap there.

More Foot Bath Options Than You'd Expect!
Foot baths turned out to be a surprisingly significant and diverse offering at Mirinae Healing Club!
With options like Aroma Foot Bath, Micro Bubble Foot Bath,
Lemon & Red Wine Detox Foot Bath, Ginseng & Safflower Foot Bath,
and even a Kneipp Cold Foot Bath, there are so many varieties
that time flies as you try each one.

What was especially great was that it wasn't just warm foot baths.
There was also a Kneipp cold foot bath, where you walk on river stones in flowing cold water.
So after sweating it out in the jjimjil-bang,
it was perfect for refreshing your feet at the end.

Outdoor Hammocks & Roof Hill Garden
If the weather's nice, you can head outside
and enjoy the hammock relaxation area and the roof hill garden.
You can really tell they put a lot of thought into designing these facilities!
On the other hand, if it's raining like it was when I visited,
there's still so much to do just exploring the indoor jjimjil-bang and therapy facilities
that I didn't feel like I missed out on much.

From Yoga to a Movie Theater,
More Diverse Activities Than You'd Expect
At Mireuknae Healbing Club, beyond just foot baths and jjimjil-bangs,
a variety of ways to relax were prepared for guests.
What was particularly impressive was the yoga space!
It was a spacious area with yoga mats laid out,
and you could follow along with the movements by watching the screen at the front.

There are times when wellness programs are running,
but even when there aren't any scheduled programs,
it's a great spot to stretch a bit and unwind.

For those moments when you're done with the jjimjil-bang and just want to completely zone out,
there's a wonderful tent space filled with lush green plants!
Books are also available nearby,
so it's a popular spot for people with children.

Plus, with a space where you can relax and watch movies,
there's truly more to enjoy than you might expect!
If constantly moving between hot jjimjil-bangs feels a bit much,
especially if you're visiting with parents or children,
these kinds of relaxation spaces are perfect for mixing in throughout your visit.
3. Our Review of the Wellbeing Buffet & Cafe

The Mireuknae Healbing Club's healing package doesn't just include admission;
it also comes with a wellbeing lunch buffet and one cafe drink!
After enjoying the jjimjil-bang and foot baths to our hearts' content in the morning,
we went for the first lunch seating,
and the part that our parents especially loved
was precisely this wellbeing buffet.

A Wellness Buffet Focused on Healthy Eating
*Operating Hours: 11:30 AM ~ 1:30 PM
*Part 1: 11:30 AM / Part 2: 12:30 PM
*Last Entry: 1:00 PM
*Additional Fee: Adults ~$21 / Children ~$11
Lunch here is a completely different experience
from simply grabbing ramen or pork cutlets at a typical jjimjilbang restaurant.
Category | Menu Items |
Meat Dishes | Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Stir-fry, Smoked Duck Roast |
Seasonal Specialties | Steamed Buckwheat & Vegetable Twisted Chili Peppers, Triple Berry Chive Salad, Freshwater Snail Bibimbap |
Namul (Seasoned Vegetables) & Side Dishes | Green Onion Kimchi, Napa Cabbage Kimchi, Cucumber Kimchi, Shrimp & Zucchini Salad, Cucumber Salad, Bomdong (Spring Cabbage) Salad, Mung Bean Jelly Salad, Broccoli, Fried Eggplant |
Salads | Salmon Salad, Seasonal Vegetables |
Soups & Water Kimchi | Herbal Chicken Porridge, Acorn Jelly Soup, Daily Soup |
Vegetables | Various Ssam Vegetables (Wraps) and Seasonal Greens |
Desserts | Butter Potatoes, Sweet Pumpkin Makgeolli Steamed Bread, Fruit, etc. |

At first, I thought a "wellness buffet" would mainly feature
namul and vegetables, but there were plenty of hearty options
like meat dishes, fried eggplant, butter potatoes, and herbal chicken porridge.
The fried eggplant, in particular, was so crispy
it felt less like a healthy dish and more like a simply delicious one.
There were also dishes like butter potatoes and sweet pumpkin makgeolli steamed bread
that even kids would likely enjoy.

A Quick Break at the Cafe
When you book a healing package at Mireuknae Healbing Club,
one complimentary drink is included with your ticket, so you can pick any drink you like from the cafe without extra payment.

From coffee and lattes to ades, smoothies, traditional teas, and herbal teas,
the variety was truly impressive.
We visited in the summer and after enjoying our therapy,
we took a refreshing break with a cool drink.
After working up a sweat, it tasted even sweeter!
4. Review of the Single-Story Ondol Accommodation
Guest Room: 'Ba'

If you've enjoyed a day of healing programs
and it feels too soon to leave,
you can extend your stay with accommodation at Mireuknae Healbing Club.
Among the various rooms, I stayed in a single-story Ondol room, and it wasn't exactly the chic, modern style you'd find in a newly built hotel these days.

Instead, the harmony of the wooden ceiling, traditional Hanok-style windows, and the Ondol floor space perfectly complemented Mireunee Healbeing Club's nature-friendly atmosphere.

It was also lovely to see the lush green scenery outside the window! Since I visited in summer, the view from the room was entirely verdant, making me feel like I was truly on a getaway, even though it's not far from Seoul.
Stay overnight and get a discount on the Healbeing Club!
Staying overnight doesn't automatically include a Healbeing Club pass; you'll need to purchase it separately.
However, guests enjoy exclusive discounted rates, allowing you to use it for ~$39 on weekdays and ~$41 on weekends.

What I loved most was the seamless flow. After a full day of Five Elements Therapy, Five Senses Therapy, foot baths, and jjimjil (Korean sauna), you'll find your body surprisingly relaxed and tired. Being able to rest immediately at your accommodation instead of driving back to Seoul definitely made the experience so much more leisurely and relaxing.

So, personally, I'd recommend viewing this less as accommodation you'd seek out just for the room, and more as a place where you can truly enjoy the Healbeing Club all day long and extend the experience into an overnight stay.
Especially if you're with parents or children, the single-story layout with no stairs is much more comfortable to use than a duplex!
