Meet Mr. Popular, a perfect and sought-after fashion company CEO,
Baek Jin-ju, an influencer with 1.5 million followers,
Cheon Song-yi, the blunt truth-teller,
and Pyeongbeomhan (meaning 'Ordinary'), who feels minimal and normal among his flashy, high-achieving friends.

My Review of 'Melo-e Chajil' in Daehak-ro
I caught 'Melo-e Chajil' at Ninejin Hall 2, which is super easy to find, conveniently located near Hyehwa Station Exit 2 and Marronnier Park.
Tickets were available for pick-up 30 minutes before the show. The tickets themselves are adorably designed, making them a cute keepsake after the show.
As showtime approached, I entered the theater. The stage lighting initially looked quite elaborate, making me curious how it would connect to the synopsis. Once the performance began, however, the lighting became one of the most impressive elements for me.
The lighting was expertly used to perfectly match each scene, dramatically shifting the atmosphere and drawing focus to the actors. This masterful use of illumination, combined with the actors' performances, truly immersed me in the play.
In short, this place is a lighting gem! ❤️
I've seen many plays, but 'Melo-e Chajil' is the first where the lighting was so perfectly executed to elevate the immersion of the performance.
Of course, the actors' performances were also incredibly impressive. They actively used exaggerated expressions and gestures, which had the audience roaring with laughter throughout the play.
And it wasn't just me! I could hear laughter erupting from the front rows, the back rows – everyone was having a blast, which made me realize, 'Oh, it's not just me finding this hilarious, haha.'
But here's another exciting twist: while many interactive plays involve simple communication between actors and the audience,
'Melo-e Chajil' takes it a step further. The ending actually changes based on the audience's choices! The actors asked us to vote on the conclusion, and our collective decision determined the final scene.
After seeing it, I couldn't help but wonder, 'What if we had made a different choice?' It definitely makes me want to come back and see another version!
Since it's an interactive play, I personally recommend aiming for front-row seats if you want to be close to the action. However, if you're a bit shy about being in the spotlight, the back rows are still perfectly fine!
What's more, the theater seats were comfortable and well-cushioned, so I didn't feel any discomfort during the performance. This attention to detail made the experience even better, and it's another reason I highly recommend it!

What's more, this place is a lighting masterclass! The lighting was so skillfully controlled that it truly enhanced the immersion of the play. Personally, among all the Daehak-ro plays I've seen, I'd rate the lighting here as number one, which is another big reason for my recommendation.
Beyond the fun of audience participation, which many plays offer, the truly captivating aspect of 'Melo-e Chajil' is that the ending changes based on the choices made by *us*, the audience. This unique feature makes it incredibly appealing.
