Mayfield Hotel
Pool & Gym Review
Here's a review of the pool and gym that I thoroughly enjoyed
during my relaxing, nature-filled staycation at Mayfield Hotel.

Mayfield Hotel Wellness Club
Mayfield Hotel, nestled in Gangseo-gu, Seoul,
is a place where you can truly feel at ease with nature,
even while being in the heart of the city.
Alongside its expansive gardens and scenic walking paths,
it boasts excellent fitness facilities,
including a swimming pool, gym, and golf practice range.
I had the chance to experience these facilities firsthand during my recent stay,
and I was genuinely impressed by how well-maintained they are
and the wonderfully serene atmosphere.
What truly stood out was that the swimming pool uses artificial seawater,
which felt quite unique!
Mayfield Hotel Pool Review

📍 Mayfield Hotel Pool: Location & Operating Information
Location: Annex Building, 1st Floor
Operating Hours: 06:00~21:00
(with scheduled maintenance breaks)
Eligibility: Free for hotel guests
(Swim cap required)
📍 Mayfield Hotel Suite Annex
94 Banghwa-daero, Gangseo-gu, Seoul
⚠️ Pro Tip: A swim cap is mandatory for pool entry,
and while you can't rent one,
you can purchase one for ~$4.
So, it's highly recommended to bring your own swim cap!

You can pick up your locker key from the reception on B1 of the Annex Building to access the locker rooms.
While afternoon use is limited to once per day,
you're welcome to use the pool freely in the morning.
Just a heads-up: on weekdays, 10 AM-11 AM
and 2 PM-3 PM are designated as maintenance times.
On weekends, there's an additional maintenance slot from 6 PM-7 PM,
making it three maintenance breaks in total.
It's always a good idea to check these times before your visit!

I'd read reviews mentioning how incredibly busy the pool gets on weekends (Friday-Saturday, Saturday-Sunday),
but since we visited for an overnight stay from Sunday to Monday,
it was surprisingly spacious and serene with fewer people,
making for a truly pleasant and comfortable experience!
After my evening swim, I imagined how wonderful it would be to experience the pool with natural light streaming in during the morning.
So, I made sure to visit again before checking out!

Monday morning was also surprisingly uncrowded!
There are four lanes in total, but it's important to note that two are exclusively for members.
Hotel guests can only use the two lanes on the right,
which made me realize it could get quite busy if there were a lot of people.
Given the outstanding facilities,
it seems quite a few people are fitness members who only use the club!

With natural light streaming in through two expansive glass windows,
the panoramic view of Mayfield Hotel's pool was absolutely stunning and incredibly rejuvenating!

There were plenty of sunbeds conveniently placed around the pool,
making it easy and delightful to take a break between laps!

The kids' pool also had a small slide.

There was also an area for inflating tubes, but since they don't rent out tubes, it seems you'll need to bring your own.

Overall, the pool felt incredibly open and refreshing, so if it were closer to home, I'd definitely want to get a membership and come here regularly :)
Mayfield Hotel Gym Review
The gym was also more spacious than I expected, and I was really satisfied with the diverse range of equipment.
Workout clothes are available for rent.
(However, sneakers are not available for rent)

I visited the gym both in the evening and once more in the morning.
On weekend evenings, it seemed like there were many people using it with memberships, not just hotel guests.

There were treadmills, a cardio zone, and a variety of weight training equipment.
The condition of the equipment was also excellent!

There was also a separate GX studio, and plenty of yoga mats and stretching tools were available.

Similar to the pool, the gym also allowed me to appreciate the Mayfield Hotel's charm much better in the morning than in the evening.
It was Monday morning, so there were fewer people, and the lush green outdoor scenery from the treadmill zone made me feel great throughout my workout.

Both the pool and the gym, with their large glass windows and beautiful landscaping, allowed me to spend time working out and healing amidst a natural, serene atmosphere!
For reference, I had a brunch plan, so I didn't book breakfast separately.
Instead, I leisurely used the pool and gym in the morning before checkout, which allowed me to enjoy them during a time with relatively fewer people, leading to even higher satisfaction.
My stay from Sunday to Monday was a truly satisfying experience.
