Mayfield Hotel Breakfast Buffet Review 2026: Prices & Discounts
Staying at Mayfield Hotel? Don't miss out on the incredible Castle Terrace breakfast buffet! Book in advance to enjoy a significant discount and kickstart your day right.

Here's my honest review of the breakfast I enjoyed during my recent hotel staycation at Mayfield Hotel!
You can enjoy breakfast at Mayfield Hotel's Castle Terrace buffet, located on the first floor of the Main Building.

Breakfast Buffet Price & Discounts

Mayfield Hotel's breakfast buffet operates in two sittings.
The regular price for the breakfast buffet is ~$47,
but if you reserve breakfast the day before, guests can enjoy a special discount, paying only ~$33! So definitely make sure to book in advance! :)

You'll need to specify your preferred time when booking, and since the second sitting tends to fill up quickly, I recommend making your reservation when you check in.
I also made a reservation for the second sitting, which starts at 8:30 AM.

Near the entrance, you'll find high chairs and children's tableware available, which is great for those visiting with little ones!

Upon entering, you'll be shown to a table based on your party size, and then you can choose where you'd like to sit.
The window-side tables are definitely the most charming,
but they're limited and very popular. Also, there's a slight step down from the food area, so do watch your step.

Even though I arrived right at 8:30 AM for the second sitting, the window seats were already full, so I ended up sitting at a table nearby that still had a view of the window.
If you're aiming for a window seat, I recommend getting there a little earlier!

Families with children seemed to prefer the tables closer to the food area, which don't have a step.

First, I settled into my seat and went to grab a drink.
There was a wide variety of teas. I chose the refreshing Peach & Passion Fruit Tea!
1. Bakery

I started by exploring the bread corner.
There was a great selection of sliced breads, including gluten-free bread, white toast, and whole wheat toast.
Of course, there was also a toaster oven to warm up your bread.

Egg tarts, muffins, croissants, and various pastries.

For butter, they offered two kinds of Isigny butter: salted and unsalted. As for jams, there were two types of Zùmel jams: strawberry and orange marmalade.
And there were waffles too!
2. Salads

For the main meal section, I first checked out the salad options.
Right at the beginning of the salad bar, there were three types of yogurt available.

Perfect for topping your salad, there was smoked salmon, of course,
I was so impressed by the diverse array of salads, including **pumpkin salad, mushroom salad, cold pasta, and bean salad**!
3. Chinese & Western Cuisine

Right across from the salad bar, you'd find the Chinese cuisine section.
From **roasted vegetables** and **fried rice** to **Yu San Seul** and dim sum.

While the Chinese menu wasn't super extensive, it kicked off with a comforting **bacon potato soup** before seamlessly transitioning into the Western offerings.

The Western menu had that classic, comfortable hotel breakfast buffet feel – nothing too out of the ordinary, but always satisfying!
Think classics like **grilled Iberian pork neck, potatoes, bacon, sausages, and grilled salmon** – the perfect start to any adventure!

And for something delightfully smooth, there was **creamy gnocchi**!
4. Korean Cuisine

At the Mayfield breakfast buffet, the Korean menu was definitely the crowd favorite!
From classic **Kimchi Jjigae** to crispy **Donkatsu**, savory **Bulgogi**, and spicy **Jeyuk Bokkeum**, there was a taste of Korea for everyone.

Beyond just rice and Miyeok-guk (seaweed soup), they also offered a wonderful variety of *banchan*, perfect for complementing your meal.
You'd find delightful options like **Yeongeun Jorim (braised lotus root), Myeolchi Bokkeum (stir-fried anchovies), and Dongchimi (radish kimchi)**, among others.
5. Made-to-Order Corner
(Live Station)

The **made-to-order corner**, where talented chefs prepare dishes just for you on the spot,
featured two fantastic options: **omelets** and **pho** (rice noodles)!
6. Kids' Special Corner

Over at the **Kids' Special Corner**, little explorers would find...
I spotted adorable bite-sized **mini rice balls**, delightful **mini ham sandwiches**, and tempting **golden lava eggs**.
And don't forget the **Gwangcheon gim (seaweed)** – it's absolutely delicious with the mini rice balls, so make sure to grab some!
7. Cheese & Ham

This corner might be a little hidden, so I imagine some explorers might miss it,
but if you venture towards the **innermost pillar**, you'll discover...
...a delightful selection of **three cheeses** perfect for simple finger foods (Colby Jack, Emmental, and Smoked Cheese), along with **grissini** and **tofu snacks**.
And don't forget the **ham and olives**, ideal for topping off your salad!
8. Fruits & Desserts

And to cap it all off,
near the entrance, you'll find the dessert corner brimming with **ice cream, fruits, and refreshing beverages**.
Indulge in **yogurt ice cream** with a variety of toppings to customize to your heart's content, and...

For drinks, four varieties were ready: **orange juice, grapefruit juice, apple juice, and lemon water**.

For fruits, there were **four kinds: oranges, dragon fruit, Shine Muscat grapes, and grapefruit**, and even **milk, soy milk, and low-fat milk** available!
Mayfield Hotel Breakfast Buffet Review

For my first plate, I started with an **omelet** and a variety of **meat dishes and salads** lol.
The vegetables were fresh and varied, so the salad was satisfying, but
personally, I found the grilled salmon a bit too fishy for my taste, and actually preferred the smoked salmon. 🥲
The Jeyuk-bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork) and Bulgogi were decent.

Piling on a bit of everything, my second plate ended up losing its identity, haha!
I got some **pho**, and the **Kimchi Jjigae** (kimchi stew) also looked delicious so I served myself some, but surprisingly, this **Gopchang Gim** (crispy seaweed snack) from the kids' corner was absolutely delicious!
I usually don't prefer eating Korean food at buffets, but since there were mini rice balls instead of plain rice, I found them less heavy and took a few.
The combination of Kimchi Jjigae, seaweed, and rice balls is definitely worth trying!

Finally,
I finished with a **dessert plate** featuring grapefruit juice, fruits, waffles, muffins, and yogurt ice cream.
Overall, considering the relatively reasonable price of ~$33, it wasn't a bad breakfast.
However, personally, since it was predominantly Korean cuisine, I found the Western and Chinese menu options a bit lacking,
and if I had paid the full price of ~$47, my satisfaction level would have been lower.
If you're staying at Mayfield Hotel, I highly recommend **booking in advance to enjoy the breakfast buffet at a discounted price**! 😉
