While we don't often do staycations in the city,
when a voucher comes our way, we jump at the chance for a mini-getaway.
Today, I'm thrilled to share our 2026 review of Lotte Hotel World in Jamsil,
complete with an honest look at the stunning Seokchon Lake view rooms.

We were assigned a room on the 25th floor.
The hallways were incredibly spacious and spotless,
and even the elevators had a plush, upscale feel.
2. Inside Room 2506: Deluxe Lake View

Welcome to Deluxe Room 2506!

The layout features a bathroom right by the entrance,
opening up to a surprisingly spacious area past the beds.
It's furnished with two small tables, a cozy sofa, and an armchair,
making it the perfect setup to enjoy some late-night room service or takeout.

The twin beds were incredibly plush and comfortable.
We loved the thoughtful addition of reading lights and power outlets
on both sides of the bed—perfect for charging phones after a long day exploring Seoul.

The bathroom boasted a sleek, luxurious design.
While the toilet and bathtub are in the same space
(I usually prefer them separated), it was impeccably clean.
Having a deep soaking tub was fantastic for a relaxing evening bath—
a must for any true hotel staycation.
3. Room Amenities

Plush room slippers are provided, but note that
due to Korea's eco-friendly regulations in 2026, single-use toiletries are not supplied.

You'll find two complimentary bottles of water and a selection of teas.
Keep in mind that all other snacks, sodas, and alcoholic beverages
in the minibar are paid items.

The free water bottles have a neat "Complimentary" tag on them,
so there's no confusion.

Quality body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are provided
in large pump bottles, so you don't need to pack your own.
One quirky detail: there's a glass window looking from the bathroom into the bedroom,
which might be a bit awkward depending on who you're traveling with!
4. The Iconic Seokchon Lake View

Without a doubt, the highlight of the room was
the sweeping view of Seokchon Lake and the towering Lotte World Tower.
Even though the weather was a bit gloomy during our stay, the skyline was still breathtaking.
I especially loved the cozy window seating area—
it's practically designed for
capturing those perfect Instagram shots against the Seoul skyline.
5. Getting a Workout at the Fitness Club

No staycation is complete without checking out the hotel gym.

Treadmills, stationary bikes, and even StairMasters (the "stairway to heaven")—
the facility is massive, easily rivaling commercial gyms.
With such a wide variety of high-quality machines,
it's accessible and inviting for fitness enthusiasts of all levels.

There's also a generous free weight area with plenty of dumbbells and gym balls.
If you like to keep up with your routine while traveling, you'll be very happy here.
6. Morning Breakfast Buffet

Finally, here's our take on the morning breakfast buffet.
As a 5-star hotel,
our expectations were pretty high.

The spread was massive.
From traditional Korean dishes to Chinese cuisine and Western breakfast staples,
the sheer variety meant there was something to satisfy every craving.
Everything we tried was delicious and
well above average.
If you enjoy a hearty, convenient meal to start your day,
I highly recommend booking a package that includes breakfast.
7. Final Thoughts

If you're planning a trip to Seoul in 2026 and want a mix of luxury and convenience,
Lotte Hotel World in Jamsil is a fantastic choice.
While the lake view rooms come at a premium,
waking up to that unobstructed panorama of Seokchon Lake is incredibly healing.
The location is unbeatable. You're steps away from a scenic stroll around Seokchon Lake,
the thrills of Lotte World theme park, Lotte Department Store, and the upscale vibes of Signiel Seoul.
There's so much to do right at your doorstep.
Whether it's an anniversary, a romantic date, or a family vacation,
this hotel ticks all the boxes.
