arriving at the airport a day early is the best way to save your travel energy.

offers an unbeatable location that links the airport, Lotte Mall, the subway, and the Airport Railroad Express (AREX)

all under one roof.

My satisfaction level? Absolutely off the charts.

I recently booked a stay here the night before my dawn flight to Jeju.

Being able to walk everywhere indoors makes this place highly recommended!

With shopping, movies, groceries, and flights all seamlessly accessible,

it's no surprise this hotel is incredibly popular

with both locals and international travelers alike.

1. The Ultimate Location: Connecting Gimpo Airport, Lotte Mall, and Transit

​

Lotte City Hotel is directly connected

to Gimpo Airport via an indoor walkway.

​

Just take the elevator down, and you're in Lotte Mall.

From the mall, you have direct access to the subway station,

including Lines 5, 9, and the AREX!

​

Travel Times via AREX from Lotte City Hotel

· To Hongdae: Approx. 15 minutes

· To Seoul Station: Approx. 30 minutes

It's the perfect stay for your first or last night in Seoul!

​

The hotel shares a massive parking facility with Lotte Mall,

so finding a spot is never an issue.

But honestly, the public transit connections are so good

that you absolutely don't need a car.

​

It's a lifesaver on rainy or bad weather days.

​

​

​

Occasionally, they run stay-and-park promotions

offering 3 to 4 nights of free parking.

I managed to snag one of these deals,

left my car at Lotte Mall, and jetted off to Jeju.

Even without a car, the location is incredibly convenient.

The rooms are clean, well-organized,

and styled with a modern business aesthetic.

​

This was my first time staying at a Lotte City Hotel,

and the bedding and pillows were so incredibly comfortable

that I actually ordered the Lotte Hotel pillows online after my trip!

​

Because I had a crack-of-dawn departure from Gimpo,

I didn't want to exhaust myself at the very start of my vacation.

Booking this stay was one of the best decisions I made.

It's a highly practical hotel where you can

get a fantastic night's sleep and head out quickly.

giving it a very clean and sophisticated vibe.

Even though it's an airport hotel, it feels just like a premium downtown stay!

The vanity area is spacious,

leaving plenty of room for your toiletries.

Plus, the mirror lighting is impressively bright—a huge bonus.

The bathroom includes both a bathtub and a fresh shower space.

The amenities provided are by Davines,

and they have a lovely, subtle scent.

👉 As a business hotel, the breakfast prices are quite reasonable.

I skipped it due to my early flight,

but since Lotte Mall has a massive selection of food and snacks,

grabbing brunch there is also a great alternative!

If you're traveling with kids

and have time in the morning, the hotel breakfast is definitely worth it.

​

3. Stress-Free Access for Early Morning Flights

​

If you have a 5:00 or 6:00 AM flight,

you usually want to arrive at least an hour to an hour and a half early

just for peace of mind.

​

Since mine was a domestic flight,

I aimed to get there about an hour prior to departure.

​

While Lotte Mall itself isn't open during those early hours,

the hotel staff at Lotte City Hotel

will personally open the doors for guests heading out at dawn.

​

Even better, they don't just point you in the right direction—

a staff member actually escorted me to show me the exact path to the airport.

​

The walk to the AREX subway entrance

takes less than 5 minutes,

and from the station, the airport is just steps away!

​

Usually, early morning flights

mean rushing around and starting your trip stressed out.

But waking up right at the airport hotel

allowed me to kick off my vacation feeling completely relaxed.

​

For dinner the night before my trip,

I grabbed some comforting Korean food right inside Lotte Mall.

And when my trip was over,

I made sure to enjoy one last hearty meal at the mall

before heading home!

​

If you realize you forgot to pack something,

you can easily do some last-minute shopping at the mall's sales.

I'll definitely be utilizing the Gimpo Airport Lotte Mall connection again.
