Today, I'm excited to share my honest, personal review of 'Less Cafe' in Pocheon. It's less than a 2-hour drive from Seoul, making it super accessible. Imagine strolling along the lush Sanjeong Lake trail, then unwinding with serene lake views – pure bliss!

This unique spot isn't just right on the lake; it also offers a fantastic selection of board games and even hearty meals like donkatsu (pork cutlet). It's truly a place everyone can enjoy, whether you're with family, a significant other, or friends.

Less Cafe Operating Info & Parking

⚠️ When navigating to Less Cafe, be aware that the inner access road is quite narrow! If you encounter an oncoming car, it can be a bit tricky, so new drivers should proceed with caution. However, if you follow the narrow path all the way in, you'll find a dedicated parking lot for Less Cafe, making parking convenient.

Exterior / Interior

Less Cafe, directly adjacent to the Sanjeong Lake walking path, has an exterior that shows its age, giving it a charming, established feel.

But step inside, and you'll discover a surprisingly clean and comfortable space – quite the pleasant contrast!

The cafe primarily features spacious 4-person tables, which can also be combined for larger groups. I saw many families and friends on group trips comfortably enjoying their time here.

Another huge plus was the impeccably clean, separate restrooms for men and women inside the cafe.

There are also about four outdoor tables, perfect for enjoying a coffee while gazing at the lake. However, when I visited during the day, it was quite sunny and warm, so I opted for a cool indoor table.

Menu & My Order

What makes Less Cafe unique is that beyond typical cafe drinks, they also offer substantial meals like donkatsu! Their menu is quite diverse, featuring coffee, tea, shakes, and even shaved ice.

Ordering is simple and convenient via a kiosk at the front of the store.

Review

I grabbed a window seat and snapped a photo of my coffee with the lake as a backdrop! For a cafe situated right on Sanjeong Lake, the drink prices were quite reasonable, and the sizes were generous.

The Americano tasted great, and the affogato was a generous portion, which I appreciated.

What stood out was the thoughtful touch of providing wireless smartphone chargers, a guide, and tissues at each table. The owner's attention to detail really made a difference.

One corner of Less Cafe is dedicated to board games. They have a fantastic variety, from games kids will love to nostalgic favorites that bring back childhood memories for adults!

We picked up 'Monopoly' (Modoo Marble) and had a blast! Playing board games with the calm lake view in the background was such a delightful and memorable experience; time just flew by.

Overall Thoughts

If you're looking for a cafe that offers both stunning views and fun activities before or after a walk around Sanjeong Lake in Pocheon, I highly recommend Less Cafe!
