I went there directly as a walk-in,
and it was great for kids,
and perfect for enjoying the sunset with a beer.

Comparison of Canggu's Top 3 Beach Clubs

When it comes to Bali beach clubs, three spots often come to mind.
Category | La Brisa | Potato Head | Finns |
Location | Canggu Echo Beach | Seminyak Beach | Canggu Berawa Beach |
Vibe | Vintage Bohemian | Sophisticated Resort | DJ Pool Party |
Kid-Friendly | Yes (Kids' Pool) | Yes | No Kids Zone |
Entrance Fee | Free | Paid after 4 PM | Free |

If you're with **family or a partner**,
I personally found **La Brisa** to be the best.
Instead of a loud club atmosphere,
its relaxed and **Bohemian vibe**
made it a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset.
La Brisa Basic Information

✔ Address: Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan,
Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Bali 80361
✔ Operating Hours: Daily 10:00 AM ~ 11:00 PM
✔ Entrance Fee: Free / Walk-ins welcome
✔ Card Payment: Available
✔ Kid-Friendly: Yes (separate kids' pool)
✔ Drones/Tripods: Not allowed

This space is crafted from old Indonesian fishing boats and
over 500 pieces of recycled wood.

You can gaze at the coastline,
and while there's a **central pool** adding to the vibe,
perhaps because of the abundant use of wood,
it feels more nature-friendly than flashy,
possessing an authentic **Balinese charm**.
On Sundays, a Sunday Market operates (10:00 AM ~ 4:00 PM).
It's a great place to browse local goods and accessories.
How to Book & Walk-in Tips
You can make reservations on their official website.
👉 "Book La Brisa Beach Club Here"

✔ Reservations Open: From 30 days before your visit
✔ Same-day reservations not possible (walk-ins only on the day)
✔ Reservation Times:
Day Time 11:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM
Evening Time 4:30 PM ~ 8:00 PM

There's something crucial you need to know about the minimum charge.
On top of the amount displayed on the booking screen,
an additional 8% service charge + 10% tax will be added.
The actual amount you pay can be higher than you might expect, so I recommend calculating it beforehand.
Any remaining balance from your minimum charge is non-refundable.
If you think you'll have a balance left, you can always get food to-go.

You can absolutely enjoy it even as a walk-in.
If you want to catch the sunset alongside the pool,
it's best to enter between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
During peak season, it's safer to go even earlier.
Seating Recommendations

Here's a ranking of recommended seats for two people.

✔ 1st Pick — SR SOFA (SR7·SR9 Recommended)
The sunset view is completely unobstructed.
With a minimum charge of 1,000,000 IDR,
it's quite reasonable.

✔ 2nd Pick — Deck Chair
You get a great sunset view
and it's comfortable for eating.
The minimum charge is 1,000,000 IDR.

✔ 3rd Pick — Beach Bean Bag Seats
These are perfect for about
30 minutes before and after sunset.
If you just want to catch a quick sunset at La Brisa,
I also recommend these seats, which are available for walk-ins.
The free walk-in seats are located
next to and behind the SR SOFA area.
They're first-come, first-served, so if you arrive early,
you can still snag a sunset view.
Sunset & Night View Atmosphere

Bali sunsets usually occur
between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM.
The gradient as the sky turns from orange to pink,
then into purple hues,
truly looks like a scene straight out of a movie.

It's also wonderful to step out to Echo Beach for a moment
and watch the sunset standing right in front of the ocean.
The path connecting to the beach is easy to navigate.

Even after the sun sets,
you won't want to leave your spot.
As the fairy lights on the palm trees gradually turn on,
it transforms into a dreamy nightscape,
and with the DJ music playing,
the ambiance doubles.
The sunset passes by in an instant,
so once you've settled in, get ready for endless photo ops!
Food & Price Review

This is based on the menu items I ordered.
I'm a bit of a foodie, so I ordered a lot!
Menu | Price (IDR) |
Prawn Skewers (Shrimp Skewers) | 115,000 |
14Hr Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder | 285,000 |
Cheeseburger | 175,000 |
Island Brewing Pilsner 450ml | 120,000 |
Island Brewing Simmer Ale 450ml | 140,000 |
Subtotal | 835,000 |
Service Charge + Tax | 156,980 |
Total | 992,000 |
Here's my review of the menu.

The Shrimp Skewers were quite tart,
which made them a great appetizer,
but I wouldn't recommend them if you're not a fan of sour flavors.

The 14-hour slow-cooked Lamb Shoulder was
incredibly tender, falling right off the bone,
and had a deep, rich meaty flavor.

This dish was definitely the most satisfying.
The Cheeseburger also exceeded my expectations.
The quality was surprisingly good!

Both types of beer were great for light drinking,
but the Summer Ale was extra zesty and refreshing,
making it perfect for sunset.
Other popular recommendations from visitors include the
Pizza (wood-fired), Calamari, and Sweet Potato Fries.

I went in with lower expectations for the food since it's a beach club,
but the quality was surprisingly excellent.

If you're wondering which Canggu beach club to visit,
La Brisa is a fantastic option even for walk-ins.
Just arrive before 4 PM to grab a spot,
enjoy the sunset with a burger and a beer,
and you've got yourself a perfect Bali anniversary date!
Remember that the minimum charge is separate from taxes and service charges.
Have a safe and wonderful trip to Bali!
