Kumho Resort Jeju: The Perfect Seogwipo Family Getaway
Our Suite Room Review & Highly Recommended Stay
Words & Photos by Hi-Boubou
While planning a family trip to Seogwipo, Jeju Island,
we needed a place where all five of us could comfortably stay together in one room.
That’s how we found the Kumho Jeju Resort,
and today, I’m excited to share all the details and our honest review of our stay!
1. Kumho Jeju Resort Information

Kumho Resort Jeju Check-in: 2:00 PM Check-out: 11:00 AM Location: 522-12 Taewi-ro, Namwon-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do Phone: 064-766-8000 |
Kumho Resort Jeju is nestled in Namwon-eup, Seogwipo,
right near the Shinyoung Cinema Museum and the scenic Keun-eong coastal trail.
Since the property faces the ocean, they offer gorgeous ocean view rooms.
Ocean view rooms are assigned on a first-come,
first-served basis starting at check-in (additional fee applies).
2. Parking and Check-In Information

There is a very spacious outdoor parking lot
right in front of the resort, so you won't have to worry about finding a spot.
The Darangshi building (which has an annex-like vibe) also features an underground parking lot.

The main building hosts restaurants, a local souvenir shop, a Life Four Cuts photo booth,
claw machines, and other fun little activities to enjoy during your stay.
4. The Darangshi Wing

After checking in at the main building, we were assigned
to a suite room for 5 to 8 guests in the Darangshi Wing.
You can walk through the corridor from the Keun-eom Wing, pass through the Bijarim Wing,
and head straight over to the Darangshi Wing.

The lush, green garden view looking out from the Darangshi Wing lobby
actually felt even more peaceful and beautiful than an ocean view.
It had such a relaxing vibe, making us feel like we were truly at a tropical resort.
4. Room Tour: Darangshi Wing Suite Room 383

We stayed in Room 383.
As a quick heads-up on the room policy: cooking is allowed,
but preparing strong-smelling foods like meat or fish is prohibited.
Also, please make sure not to lose your room key, as there is a replacement fee!

The living area features a cozy sofa and a round dining table,
and the sofa was actually much softer and more comfortable than expected.
I especially loved having our own private terrace to step out onto.

Even though we had a city view instead of an ocean view,
seeing the tops of palm trees swaying right outside our window
gave the entire stay a perfect, laid-back resort holiday vibe.

Here is the kitchen, located right next to the living room.
Since it's a condo-style resort,
it comes fully equipped with cooking utensils so you can easily whip up your own meals.
Dishes, cutlery, cutting boards, knives, pots,
frying pans, and an electric kettle are all provided.

This is the first large bedroom at Kumho Jeju Resort.
Like a master bedroom, it has a small private en-suite bathroom,
and extra blankets and pillows are neatly tucked away in the closet.
Just like the living room, the view from this main bedroom
overlooks the resort grounds and lush trees,
giving it a total tropical getaway vibe!

Next is the smaller bedroom.
It's a bit more compact than the first room,
but it also has plenty of cozy bedding and pillows waiting inside the closet.

Finally, here is the main bathroom.
It's larger than the master bathroom
and features a walk-in shower stall.
As a quick heads-up, towels are provided per guest,
and requesting extra ones will incur an additional fee.
(However, if you're staying multiple nights, you can get them exchanged for free!)

Looking out at the Seogwipo ocean in Jeju from the terrace
felt so open and refreshing—it really made me feel
like I was on a dreamy vacation.
Whether you're looking for a relaxing, healing trip
or planning a memorable family vacation,
I highly recommend Kumho Jeju Resort!

is located nearby, so make sure not to miss it
when you visit Kumho Resort Jeju!
