First, we donned beige-toned aprons that perfectly complemented the natural colors of the clay!
What I loved about this Konkuk University area workshop for a date was how the instructor went above and beyond for couples. They even pointed out prime photo spots so we could capture plenty of memories together!
We truly appreciated their thoughtfulness in ensuring we had a special, intimate time together, making it a perfectly worthwhile date experience.
The first step in our Konkuk University area one-day class was to choose the desired shape for our pottery and then create it ourselves!
I opted for a bowl with a slightly wider rim, while my boyfriend chose a more concave design.
The instructor patiently guided us through the pottery wheel techniques to achieve our chosen shapes, and it was so much fun!
They demonstrated the process and gave us multiple opportunities to try it ourselves, offering clear instructions that made it easy even for pottery wheel beginners like us!

After crafting our bowls with the instructor's guidance, it was time to freely explore the pottery wheel on our own!
While making the actual pottery required careful attention, this part allowed us to play around with the wheel and clay however we liked, which was incredibly enjoyable!
The soft clay felt wonderful to the touch, and creating various shapes while spending time with my boyfriend made for a truly lovely experience.

Once we had our fill of playing, it was time to beautifully decorate the bowls we had created!
We could decorate our bowls using various stamps and paints, and the studio even provided practice clay, like a canvas, so we could experiment without fear of messing up our actual pieces!
It was great to be able to preview how the stamps would look before applying them to our final pieces.

We stamped and painted designs on both the inside and outside, creating truly unique bowls that reflected our personal style!
From the pottery wheel experience to the decorating session, the entire process was intimate and enjoyable, making it an absolutely fantastic and unique date spot near Konkuk University!
We chatted about how to decorate our bowls, and even helped each other out, making our Guui-dong date a truly memorable and fun time.

Whenever we encountered a tricky part, we simply asked the instructor, and they made sure everything went smoothly without any difficulty!
The instructor was so kind and helpful, guiding us through everything, which made our first Konkuk University pottery workshop experience wonderful.
Thanks to them, we successfully created our very own pottery pieces!
Since the finished pottery needs to be fired, we were told we could expect to receive our completed pieces in about 1 to 2 months.
I'll be sure to update this post with photos once we receive our finished pottery!
