Located on Sangwon 4-gil in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, the Kia Unplugged Ground immediately captivates with its distinct industrial charm. It beautifully preserves the red-brick exterior of a 60-year-old textile factory, a true hallmark of Seongsu-dong's unique vibe.

Step inside, and you're greeted by an impressive sense of openness, thanks to the soaring ceilings and striking black steel truss structures. Soft natural light streams in through the ceiling skylights, complemented by vibrant hanging plants throughout, creating an incredibly cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Open daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the space also offers plenty of modular wooden benches, perfect for families to relax, making it an instant favorite.

3. Kid-Friendly Zone in Seongsu

As expected from such a family-friendly cultural complex, the kids' activity zone is meticulously designed with little ones in mind.

It features a soft, safe, white-toned indoor jungle gym, along with a delightful assortment of familiar characters like Super Mario plush toys and Numberblocks.

Kids can also get creative making badges, and during times without scheduled programs, they're free to explore the jungle gym. A wide selection of board games is available too, perfect for both children and adults to enjoy together.

The pristine and secure environment meant I could relax, knowing my child was playing safely without any worries.

My child absolutely loved the Mario Kart game, spending well over 30 minutes there alone!

On-site, it was clear that over 80% of families with children gravitated towards the free experiential class, lasting approximately 50 minutes.

Reservations for Kia Unplugged Ground open on the 25th of each month for the following month's schedule. Since each session is limited to about 12 participants, checking the schedule and booking early is essential!

We visited during a holiday weekend and were lucky enough to find slots still available, allowing us to book both the first and second sessions.

While there's a recommended age range, the friendly instructors provide excellent guidance, enabling my child to effortlessly complete their wooden propeller car. After assembling and painting the rubber-band-powered car, and snapping a proud photo, my child's sense of accomplishment was through the roof. Here, you'll find a neat display of curated books from Millie's Library, making it a perfect tranquil spot for quiet reading. Don't miss the fun of admiring the Kia classic car miniatures scattered throughout the space. Another excellent tip: you can even borrow a picnic set for free upon request, perfect for enjoying a charming outdoor picnic on a beautiful day!

In the bustling heart of Seongsu-dong, notorious for its challenging parking, the provision of two hours of complimentary parking is an incredible perk – far better than I expected.

Visitors can freely explore the latest electric vehicles like the EV3 and EV9 without any pressure. Kids get to enjoy exciting hands-on activities, while adults can perfectly indulge in music and reading, each finding their own ideal way to spend time.

However, it's worth noting that on weekends, as a popular hotspot, it can get quite crowded, which might detract slightly from a leisurely visit. Despite the weekend crowds, the two hours of free parking and engaging complimentary experiences make it an ideal stop to combine with nearby Seongsu eateries. The ability for both children and adults to enjoy activities tailored to their preferences, all without the stress of weekend parking, makes it an exceptionally appealing choice.
