Kensington Resort Jungmun Jeju Review 2026: Ocean Views & Value
Discover Kensington Resort Jungmun Jeju, offering prime location, breathtaking ocean views, and resort-style amenities without breaking the bank in 2026.
For years, my go-to accommodation on Jeju Island was always a private pension. But if I had known about such a convenient and budget-friendly hotel resort sooner, I would have saved so much on my trips!
Traveling with friends this time, we chose Kensington Resort Jungmun, and it truly delivered on both prime location and incredible value. We had an amazing time!

Jeju Hotel Recommendation: Kensington Resort Jungmun
Words & Photos by Dae Najian

📌 Enjoy the same exquisite landscaping as the luxury Lotte and Shilla hotels next door, but at half the price!
Ocean views from your bed · Kitchenette rooms available + Breakfast buffet + Water play zone
We'll compare prices including fees on Agoda and Trip.com for you.
Luxury Landscaping at a Fraction of the Price

Since I was traveling with friends, a great location and value were my top priorities!
Kensington Resort is ideally situated right next to Lotte Hotel within the Jungmun Tourist Complex.
You get to enjoy the same stunning, connected landscaping as the high-end luxury hotels, but the accommodation cost is literally a quarter of their prices!
We saved so much on our stay that we splurged on a delicious omakase dinner. Score!

As soon as you arrive at the lobby, you're greeted by the delicious smell of fresh bread. I'd heard good things about the bakery here.
It would be lovely to enjoy some bread and coffee in the early morning while admiring the view outside the window.

There's also a small souvenir shop on-site.
What's amazing is that the snacks here are about 30% cheaper than at Jeju Airport and even more affordable than many city souvenir shops!
The prices are already reasonable, but guests also receive a 10% discount coupon, making them even more enticing.
Kensington Premier Ocean View Room

The Premier Ocean View room I stayed in featured two king-sized beds,
making it spacious enough for couples, families, or even groups of friends.

The beds are elevated on a deck, so when you lie down, the ocean is right at eye level – truly immersive!

Sitting on the sofa by the window, enjoying a beer in the evening, was easily the best part of my day.
With so many attractions nearby, it was also convenient to pop back to the resort for a quick refresh between exploring.
The Ocean View

The real magic of this place reveals itself in the morning. You wake up, and while still in bed, the shimmering ocean is right there before your eyes. This view was so captivating that I didn't even need an alarm; my eyes just opened naturally.
Resort-Style Room with a Kitchen: Perfect for Families!

As a resort-style accommodation, our room came with a small kitchenette.
If you're traveling with kids, having a space for baby food or simple meals is incredibly convenient.

The kitchenette was equipped with most cooking utensils and dishes, making it easy to share late-night snacks we ordered.

Bottled water was replenished daily.

Being able to warm up baby food or prepare simple meals when traveling with children is a game-changer – much more convenient than you might think!
Clean and Convenient Dry Bathroom Setup

While the bathroom and shower are in one area, the toilet and vanity are cleverly separated.
This separation makes it easy to maintain a dry bathroom, which is a huge plus.

The doors are opaque, ensuring privacy whether you're with a partner or a group of friends. If you dislike wet bathrooms, you'll really appreciate this design.
Basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided.

Below, I've detailed a price comparison across different platforms.
Ocean Garden Walking Trails: A New Path Every Day

Kensington's walking trails are divided into different courses, allowing you to explore a new path each morning.
It's fun to choose a different route to walk every morning!

Passing through the Palm Tree Road and Bamboo Road, you'll find a stunning panorama where lush green forests meet the sparkling blue ocean.

The trails seamlessly connect to Olle Trail Course 8 and Saekdal Beach, making your walk feel less like exercise and more like pure relaxation and healing.

Oh, what a view I long to see again! The weather was perfect, making every landscape look like a painting.
Swimming Pool

During the summer season (typically June 19 - September 27), the outdoor Water Play Zone opens up. The exotic scenery and tranquil atmosphere made me feel like I was at a Southeast Asian resort.
With the weather already warming up in early June 2026, I was definitely tempted to jump right in!
Agoda vs. Trip.com: Price Comparison (Including Fees)

I always try to find the best deal if the value is the same, so I do my homework!
The actual price can vary between platforms and room types, even for the same resort. I've broken down the 1-night prices, including all taxes and fees, for you here.
(Note: Rates are subject to change based on date and time of booking.)
Agoda | Agoda | Trip.com |
Premier Garden View | Premier Ocean View (Brand Special ★ Breakfast Buffet for 2 + [June 19 - September 27] Water Play Zone Free Entry) | Kensington Premier Garden View |
Tax Included ~$159 | Tax Included ~$194 | Tax Included ~$172 |
Even for the same Premier Garden View, Agoda was more affordable. And when you consider the Premier Ocean View with breakfast for two and Water Play Zone access, it's an incredibly reasonable deal!
Rooms during peak season tend to sell out quickly, so it's important to book right away if there are available rooms!
With free cancellation options, don't hesitate if you're planning a trip to Jeju Island.
Book Kensington Resort Jungmun

I had an exotic Jeju Island experience after a long time. It felt like a proper getaway without having to travel far.
If you're like me and can't compromise on both location and a stunning view, then you don't need to look any further than this resort!
