Nestled near the traditional streets of Jongno 3-ga and the tranquil Cheonggyecheon (청계천) stream, this cafe offers a delightfully unexpected American vibe. Its unique atmosphere makes it a standout amidst the more traditional surroundings.

Wow, it was packed!
It seemed like everyone in the vicinity was an office worker in dire need of a caffeine fix. The sheer number of people was astounding, with passersby often stopping to wonder what all the fuss was about.
Given the massive crowds at the Cheonggyecheon branch, and with my limited time as a tourist, I decided to make a quick pivot.
I quickly opted for the Jongno 3-ga branch instead.

It really makes you wonder how Korean office workers survive without their daily coffee!
Since I was near Cheonggyecheon, I also passed by Hotel Venue G (호텔 베뉴지), a hotel I stayed at previously. It's still a solid option in the area!
A Seattle Cafe in Seoul
Even Americans might mistake for the real thing!

I only posted a single coffee photo to my story, and immediately got a voice call from a friend in the US!
They were asking if I was in America, demanding to know my location via DM...
But alas, I replied with a very Korean menu in hand. I wish I was in America... when can I travel there again?
Seattle Espresso Menu and Prices

Even with its strong American vibe, the menu is honestly written in Korean. The lettering isn't fancy or cursive; it's very straightforward.

Route 66 Latte: ₩3,800 (~$3)
This concentrated latte boasts a deep, rich sweetness from aged milk! Aged milk and a concentrated latte for only around $3? That's incredible!
Beyond that, the menu also includes Einspanner, Matcha Einspanner, Black Sesame Latte, Americano, Flat White, Cafe Latte, Vanilla Latte, Matcha Latte, Milk Tea, and Chocolate Latte.
The most expensive item on the menu is ₩5,500 (~$4)... Even for a takeout-focused cafe, the prices are fantastic. And of course, the undisputed signature is their Einspanner, with over 100,000 cups sold!

It feels like a small shop you'd find somewhere along an American highway. The staff member inside was incredibly friendly.

This is a deep, rich latte. The flavor is intense, just how I like it!

Just sip it without stirring, and you'll experience pure bliss. The cream isn't greasy; it's incredibly rich and smooth. It’s not just any Einspanner; it’s the Seattle Coffee House Einspanner, so perfectly creamy and delicious! It’s easy to see why it’s so popular.

The mood of the day: red, Stars and Stripes. While the American flag motif could be misinterpreted by some, rest assured, I'm just a proud traveler enjoying the aesthetics.
