Discover Pav Coffee Club, Jeonju's newest cafe in Songcheon-dong, perfect for your morning coffee fix. Get the inside scoop on this fresh spot, opened August 21, 2026!

Opened on August 21st,
an ultra-new cafe‼️
Since it happened to be within walking distance from my house,
I quickly paid a visit!
It wasn't even registered on Naver Maps yet,
but it was just registered today – a cafe so hot it's practically sizzling!

The early bird🐦
gets the delicious coffee.

I wanted to take a picture of the beautiful cafe exterior,
but unfortunately, a parked car was in the way...

So, I borrowed a photo from the Naver business listing.
It gives you this kind of vibe.
A beautiful exterior with a black tone and an ivory awning.

But a rainbow appeared in the photo 🌈,
making me happy again in no time〰️
It just goes to show how hot it was from the morning...
Perhaps it was because my steps to the new cafe were
so excited that I walked too fast..?
I arrived earlier than opening time,
and the owner, with a kind impression, was tidying up inside the cafe.
Seeing them diligently clean even the outer corners
of the cafe entrance, I couldn't help but feel a sudden urge to cheer them on (?)..

Atmosphere of the Space

I didn't realize people loved new cafes this much...
When I did the 'open run' (arrived right at opening), it was so peaceful,
but then I saw it on an Instagram Reel that evening, and there were already lines!
Even though it was morning, it was hot enough to be sweating buckets,
but they had the p0wer air conditioning running,
so by the time I left, I was saying, 'Brrr, it's cold!'

Underneath the chairs with backrests,
there's a single outlet, which seemed convenient
for some light laptop work or
charging a phone.
A clean and understated interior〰️

Even though it's a cafe that opened in a neighborhood rather than a bustling area,
the space was wider than expected.
The path to the owner's bar + roasting room seemed quite long,
but they've cleverly separated the areas:
the right side for roasting,
the middle for baking,
and the left side for brewing coffee.
I had actually fallen asleep the night before while researching Mahlkönig grinders, and then I spotted one here! Haha, I just had to snap another photo.

They even do their own roasting here! How cool is that?!

And by the way, that clock was absolutely gorgeous...

it's time to take a nap, right?
A framed drawing of a cute seal!

Before even serving the coffee,
the owner brought out some refreshing cold water.
When it's hot, you need water!!
I remembered a banner on the way to the cafe that said,
'Bottled water for the scorching heat?', and I chuckled to myself, but honestly,
it was truly life-saving water at that moment...

FAB Coffee Club Menu

Here's a look at FAB Coffee's menu:
Signature FAB Coffee ~$3
Espresso ~$3
Americano ~$3
(It's really thoughtful that espresso and americano are the same price!)
Cappuccino, Cafe Latte, Flat White ~$3
Vanilla Latte, Dolce Latte ~$4
Affogato, Filter Coffee ~$4
Sproud Milk upgrade +~$0
Decaf/Extra shot +~$0
Choco Latte ~$3
Ade, Shake ~$4
Gold Kiwi & Pear ~$4
Tea Selection ~$4
They use teas from Edition Denmark and Magpie & Tiger.
For filter coffee,
it would have been great if the types were listed, but they informed me that Ethiopian Aricha was available.
They prepare about one kind at a time
and try to introduce different beans each month, which they explained to me a little shyly.
The owner made such a great impression – so kind and friendly,
like a really sincere and earnest young man.
Madeleines and financiers are usually ready from around 10 AM,
so if you're looking for a sweet treat,
keep that in mind when you visit!

Even though I don't usually collect stamp cards from my regular cafes,
I picked one up anyway...

An Honest Review of the Coffee
I ordered FAB Coffee, their signature drink,
and an iced filter coffee.
The FAB Coffee is a delicious blend topped with a rich, chewy caramel cream.

First up, the filter Ethiopian Aricha.
I've had this bean so many times that
I was slightly less excited about it being on the menu,
but I'm so glad I ordered it! It had such a wonderfully clean taste 〰️
And I'll let you in on a secret: it was even better than the coffee I had at another spot the day before!
Now, for the FAB Coffee.
Even though I don't usually prefer sweet coffees,
my eyes absolutely lit up! 👀
The combination of the chewy caramel cream and the rich coffee
completely hit the spot for me.
While the reviews for their baked goods seemed a bit mixed,
I'm already planning a revisit,
mostly because I missed out on trying their madeleines!

For anyone craving a cool, delicious coffee to beat the heat,
or for new cafe explorers who want a guaranteed hit,
I wholeheartedly recommend Songcheon-dong's FAB Coffee Club!
