And then there are Mohyeondong Charcoal Grill House's signature side dishes:

Honestly, they have it all!
So, we went with the Cypress-aged Assorted Set B,
and added a small pot rice to our order.
While it's typically for two people,
it was actually the perfect amount for three of us.
Mohyeondong Charcoal Grill House
Review: Cypress-aged Assorted Set B
First off, they brought out ice-cold water that was so refreshing just to touch.
Just by participating in their receipt review event,
you can get a complimentary sausage, pork rinds (kkupdegi), or homemade seasoned chicken neck meat!
You should totally go for it!
Green onion kimchi (pa kimchi), spicy green onion salad (pajeori), regular kimchi, chilled acorn jelly salad (muk-sabal), salt, ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce), and fresh vegetables are all served as complimentary banchan (side dishes).
But this muk-sabal (chilled acorn jelly salad) was absolutely out of this world...
I'm the kind of person who always orders mul-naengmyeon (cold noodle soup) at a Korean BBQ place,
and with this tangy, refreshing cold noodle broth plus the jelly...
They say muk (acorn jelly) is trending these days,
but why go all the way to Seoul?
You can find this right here in Jeonju! 🐿🐿🐿
It was so delicious, we just had to get a refill!
And then, the real charcoal arrives! 🔥
This high-heat charcoal, burning intensely between 175-200 degrees Celsius,
made the area around the grill sizzle as soon as it appeared, but
thanks to the powerful air conditioning, I stayed perfectly cool even right in front of the flames.
This doenjang jjigae (Korean soybean paste stew) was exactly what you'd hope for at a Korean BBQ spot‼️
This rich and deeply flavorful doenjang jjigae
was packed with generous amounts of tofu and mushrooms,
and stayed incredibly delicious right until it cooled down after we finished eating.
