1. A Jeju Island Farm Beloved Even by Locals

Even as locals living in Seogwipo, my family and I find ourselves naturally drawn to certain places whenever the seasons change.
Isidore Farm, famous as a photo-worthy Jeju farm cafe, is one of those places, a long-time cherished hideaway for my family.

It's perfect for a leisurely stroll, watching horses graze peacefully on the expansive meadows, and experiencing the seasons by savoring the rich milk ice cream with its unique seasonal flavors at Uyu Budan, Isidore Farm's cafe.
What's more, you can capture exotic photos at Teshephon, a unique Jeju photo spot found only here in Korea.

As a must-visit spot in Hallim, Jeju, Isidore Farm offers different charms all year round. I'll share all the details on its location, Uyu Budan's seasonal ice cream, Teshephon, and the serene horse scenery.
2. Location and Parking

Isidore Farm, a must-visit in western Jeju, is located in Hallim-eup, making it a great stop on a scenic drive along the mid-mountain road in the west.

If you search for 'Uyu Budan' or 'Isidore Farm,' you'll find a spacious dedicated parking lot right in front of the cafe. It's become so popular that it can get completely full during peak season.

This place holds even greater significance as a must-visit in Hallim, Jeju, because it was established in 1954 by Irish priest Father Patrick James McGlinchey, who reclaimed barren land to help impoverished residents achieve self-sufficiency.
Father Patrick James McGlinchey's Korean name was 'Lim Pijae,' and he was a deeply respected figure who cultivated the livestock industry, laying a solid foundation for the Hallim region's economy.

While it's wonderful to capture stunning photos at the various photo spots on a clear day, rainy days also offer a charming, peaceful atmosphere. So, we often visit regardless of the weather to enjoy the seasonal ice cream.
After a stroll around the farm and enjoying ice cream at Jeju Farm Cafe Uyu Budan, it's also lovely to walk through the peaceful and quiet Saemi-eunchong Garden and near the lake, which are directly connected to the farm.
A short drive further will take you to Saebyeol Oreum, a famous pampas grass spot that becomes even more beautiful from autumn onwards – perfect for adding to your itinerary.
3. Perfect Photo Spots

As a famous photo spot in Jeju Island, fairy-tale-like photo zones continue throughout the area.
Teshephon was originally famous for its unique exterior, exuding a charm of ages, drawing many visitors to capture emotional 'life shots' and serving as a popular wedding photo spot.

While its recent restoration has given it a somewhat neater appearance, leading to a slight decrease in its past rustic charm, it's now sturdier, allowing visitors to re-enter the building and take various concept photos perched by the windows.
It's still incredibly popular because you can create such beautiful memories here.
Imagine capturing the fairy-tale-like scenery of Seongisidor Ranch,
a must-visit spot in Jeju, with the horses peacefully grazing
against a backdrop of lush green pastures and horse fences.

Just a heads-up: because the ranch grounds are so expansive,
the horses sometimes wander quite far depending on the weather
and their grazing patterns. This means they might not always be visible
from the main walking paths, so keep that in mind during your visit!
While you won't find horseback riding or feeding experiences
like at some other ranches, that's precisely why this Jeju ranch
offers such a wonderfully tranquil and leisurely way to soak in the stunning scenery.
4. Uyu Budan, Jeju Ranch Cafe: Seasonal Menu Delights

At 'Uyu Budan' cafe, created to share the ranch's fresh organic milk
and carry on its rich history, you can indulge in incredibly rich and flavorful ice cream.
It's truly a taste sensation!

You can savor a variety of seasonal ice creams here, from matcha and chocolate
to lavender and Chodang corn. But honestly, my ultimate favorite, hands down,
is the classic 'Uyu Budan Ice Cream' (~$3) for its exquisitely clean yet rich pure milk flavor. It's simply divine!

As of August 30, 2027, when this post was written, the seasonal ice cream
is the 제주 (Jeju) Blueberry Ice Cream, offering a delightful sweet and tangy flavor.
Definitely worth trying!

You can choose between a cup or a cone for your ice cream. Just a tip:
because it's a quickly melting treat, I'd recommend opting for a cup on hot days
or if you're with kids who like to savor their sweets!
Of course, I personally love the crunchy wafer part, so I always quickly devour mine in a cone!

Beyond ice cream, you'll be pleased to know that Uyu Budan also offers a delightful range of beverages!
You can order various flavored milk teas, fresh ranch milk,
milkshakes, Americano coffee, and a selection of teas. Something for everyone!
Each season, you'll also find a charming display of various goods and snacks,
perfect for a little souvenir shopping!

Right next to the Teshipon building, you'll find the Mr. Milk Shop where you can get even more treats!

You can also shop for incredibly fresh dairy products like milk and cheese.
Make sure to pop in and explore their delicious offerings!

The indoor seating can be a bit cozy and often fills up quickly.
But if the weather is beautiful, you can grab a spot on one of the adorable outdoor benches,
shaped like milk cartons, and savor your treats while watching the horses graze.
It's truly a lovely experience to enjoy Jeju's ranch cafe offerings amidst such picturesque views!
5. Concluding Our Visit to This Must-See Jeju Ranch

There you have it! Our introduction to Jeju Seongisidor Ranch,
where you can peacefully encounter horses grazing on vibrant green pastures,
all with free admission. What an amazing opportunity!

While you won't find flashy, high-octane activities here,
This is a must-visit spot in Hallim, Jeju, where you can quietly stroll and capture beautiful photos
while gazing at horses leisurely roaming through a field landscape,
with the clear breezes of the mid-mountain region and various 'oreums' (volcanic cones) in sight.

While there are beautiful ranches spread across different zones,
you don't necessarily need to go out of your way to visit from afar.
If you happen to be passing through Hallim on a drive along the west coast,
why not make a casual stop, enjoy an ice cream,
and capture some incredible, 'once-in-a-lifetime' shots at this famous Jeju photo spot?
With a short and easy route to explore right after parking,
it’s a wonderful spot for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
Teshephone has recently undergone restoration and now looks much cleaner than before. You can enter inside the building and take various concept photos by sitting on the windowsill.
Uyu Budan operates from 10 AM to 6 PM. My personal recommendation for a signature menu item is the 'Uyu Budan Ice Cream,' known for its clean and rich pure milk flavor. It costs ~$3.
