Haevichi Resort,
boasting a 4.93-star rating on Naver Reviews!
I've arrived at Jeju Seho Haejangguk, Pyoseon Branch!

True to its franchise nature,
the interior is clean and tidy.
You can choose between chairs
or traditional floor seating,
making it comfortable for large families
or groups to dine without any hassle.
It was a pleasant dining experience,
With both morning hangover customers
and families mixing,
it tends to get particularly busy
during the morning hours.
Having appeared on TV multiple times,
it also sees a significant number of tourists.
Even celebrities like Kim Jong-kook, Kim Jong-min, Choo Sung-hoon, and Lee Dae-ho have visited!
While it's different from the 'Top 3 Haejangguk' spots in Jeju
that are commonly mentioned,
if you visit expecting a clean and popular,
franchise-style haejangguk,
you'll find yourself highly satisfied!

Self-Serve Bar

With a large group, including kids and parents,
a self-serve bar is always a huge plus.
Here, they have a self-serve bar for side dishes (banchan) and watery kimchi (mul-kimchi),
which made it super easy to grab more food as needed!
Menu
The menu is quite diverse, featuring:
Beef Rib Haejangguk
Seokkeotang (Mixed Soup)
Hanwoo Beef Head Haejangguk
Naejangtang (Intestine Soup)
Chadol Haejangguk (Brisket Haejangguk)
Galbitang (Beef Rib Soup)
Seonji Haejangguk (Ox Blood Curd Soup)
They also have Milmyeon, Ppyeojjim (Braised Pork Ribs), and Jeongol (Hot Pot)!

The highlight of their signature dish is the broth, slow-simmered for 15 hours!
The true identity of Seho Haejangguk is in its
Beef Rib Haejangguk.
Many reviews rave about the rich and deep broth, meticulously prepared for over 15 hours, as the base.
Beyond the classic Beef Rib Haejangguk and Chadol Haejangguk,
you can even choose a spicy version with adjustable heat levels,
adding an extra layer of fun to your meal!

Opening bright and early at 6 AM,
you can enjoy a hearty meal
and kickstart your day of exploration!

This is such an interesting 'dadaegi' (spicy seasoning paste)!
Made with healthy beef suet,
minced garlic, onion, young barley sprouts, dried shrimp,
and even shiitake mushroom powder!
Clearly, this 'dadaegi' is crafted with nutrition in mind!
Side Dishes Galore!

The side dishes are served clean and impeccably neat,
and their homemade kimchi and 'dongchimi' (radish water kimchi) were wonderfully sweet and sour!
Beef Short Rib Haejangguk (Hangover Soup): ~$13
Offal Haejangguk (Hangover Soup): ~$8
Galbitang (Short Rib Soup): ~$8
Seonjiguk (Beef Blood Soup): ~$7
Kongguksu (Cold Soybean Noodle Soup): ~$7
— and that's what we ordered to try!

It was packed with garlic,
the beef short ribs were incredibly large and tender,
bursting with rich juices,
and with blood sausage ('seonji') inside,
it was even more delicious!

Even the 'galbitang' (short rib soup) for the kids,
though it had a slight peppery kick,
my nephews absolutely devoured it!

As for the 'kongguksu' (cold soybean noodle soup),
the portion size was immense!
Generous and wonderfully nutty.

The 'seonji' (blood sausage) had a slightly firm texture,
and there was plenty of 'seonji',
plus lots of chives,
bean sprouts, and glass noodles,
making it a truly hearty and satisfying meal!

We also tried their Black Pork Dumplings,
filled generously with Jeju black pork!
They were savory and delicious!

it can get crowded early in the morning.

so if you're sensitive to spicy food,
especially with kids, be sure to ask for the mild version!
