1. Samdaon Location & Parking
📍 Samdaon
1st Floor, 2190 Namjo-ro, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province
The precise location of Jeju Samdaon, which I'm thrilled to introduce today, is
1st Floor, 2190 Namjo-ro, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si,
situated at the crossroads leading from Gyorae-ri towards Seongsan,
and with Hamdeok Beach, Jocheon, and other attractions conveniently close by,
its accessibility to almost anywhere is truly outstanding!
Plus, it's incredibly close to some of Jeju's hottest current attractions,
like Jeju Stone Park, Snoopy Garden, Sangumburi Crater,
Ecoland, the Songdang Starbucks, and Saryeoni Forest Path,
making it a popular choice for families.

You'll find an incredibly spacious establishment here.
It's expansive enough to comfortably accommodate multiple large groups,
making Jeju Samdaon a truly comfortable and vast dining space.
What's more, the parking space is generous and convenient,
so you'll have absolutely no trouble at all when you visit, which I really appreciated.
2. Samdaon's Interior Space

You can already sense the spaciousness just by looking at Samdaon's exterior,
but step inside, and you'll realize
it's easily large enough to comfortably host 10 groups of diners!
The generous spacing between tables ensures
you can enjoy your meal without any discomfort.

It features an open kitchen concept.
I personally absolutely love an open kitchen,
as restaurants with visible kitchens usually excel in both taste and hygiene.
And indeed, when I tasted the dishes at Samdaon,
the flavor and freshness were absolutely top-notch! =)
3. Menu

At Jeju Samdaon,
you can choose from a delightful variety of options, including the Braised Cutlassfish Set Meal, the Whole Grilled Cutlassfish Set, and individual a la carte dishes.
You might not know just by looking at the menu, but
Samdaon is a fantastic value-for-money restaurant for 'Galchi Jorim' (braised hairtail fish). They directly source their hairtail and abalone only from contracted suppliers,
ensuring not only incredible freshness but also generous portions,
all at a super reasonable price.

I went with three others, making a group of four in total,
and we ordered the Whole Braised Hairtail Set for 3-4 people.
Honestly, with so many generous components included, I even wondered if it could feed up to six people!
They truly served up a feast.
4. Review

The Whole Braised Hairtail Set is presented beautifully,
stretching out lengthwise across the table.
No matter where you reach,
you can grab delicious abalone, octopus, tteok (rice cake) pieces,
and uniquely Jeju dishes like
stir-fried rapeseed greens (yuchaeipnamul) and a salad made with freshly ground tangerines cultivated right here.
Being able to enjoy such a wonderful combination of tasty dishes
made my first day in Jeju absolutely delightful!

Many places tend to skimp on expensive seafood like abalone,
but here, they generously loaded us up with so much fresh seafood
that it felt like it kept appearing no matter how much we ate. It was fantastic!

They expertly prepared a massive octopus for us, so big I thought it might be the size of a baby's face!
It was chewy yet tender, with absolutely no unpleasant smell,
and tasted absolutely incredible with the 'Galchi Jorim' sauce.

Many other places can have a fishy smell,
but at Samdaon, thanks to the special sauce personally crafted by the owner's wife,
it remained delicious no matter how much we ate.
Mixing it with rice made me want to keep going,
and I ended up eating so much that I was full enough to skip lunch. It was that good!

Even for four people, this plump, whole grilled mackerel was more than enough.
It came out perfectly grilled,
salty-savory and absolutely free of any fishy smell,
Seriously, every single dish here, from the side dishes to the main course,
was incredibly delicious. I can't recommend it enough!

Even the 'Seongge Miyeokguk' (sea urchin seaweed soup) served as a side dish was so delicious –
perfectly seasoned, not too salty and not bland at all – that I thought I could come here just for that! =)

Jeju boasts so many incredible restaurants, so before every trip,
I always have the delightful dilemma of wondering where to eat first!
The 'Galchi Jorim' at Samdaon, a fantastic eatery near Jeju Eco Land that I visited this time,
was so incredibly delicious that
I'm already planning to go again on my next visit to Jeju!
