Eastern Jeju Island Must-Visit: Namwon O'sulloc Tea House Tea Factory, a Green Tea Field Cafe for Your Jeju Travel Itinerary
Hello, it's Eojjapi, a local of Jeju Island! 🩵
When you think of O'sulloc on Jeju Island,
the O'sulloc Tea Museum in western Jeju Island
probably comes to mind first, right? +_+
Even I, when I crave green tea or matcha sometimes,
have only ever visited the O'sulloc Tea Museum in Daejeong, on the west side.
Of course, I only knew about that one too,
but a new O'sulloc has opened in Namwon, Seogwipo! 💚
It's the O'sulloc Tea House Tea Factory branch,
right next to the Hannam Tea Field.
The endless green tea field scenery was, of course, wonderful,
but since it hasn't been open for very long,
it was great to explore more leisurely, with fewer crowds than the original O'sulloc.

It's not just a cafe;
there's also a forest path, the Hannam Tea Field, and even a Tea Library,
so I lost track of time!
Especially now, when the weather is cool and perfect for a walk,
I'd recommend it as a fall Jeju travel itinerary.

O'sulloc Tea House Tea Factory is located in
Hannam-ri, Namwon-eup, Seogwipo.
Right in front of the cafe,
there's a spacious dedicated parking lot,
making it convenient to drive to.
The nearest bus stop is Hannam Sawmill,
which is about a 17-minute walk away,
so if you're coming by public transport, it's a good idea to also take a taxi.
We started by exploring
the green tea fields and the Tea Library.

If you go to the left of the cafe,
you'll find the O'sulloc Forest Path.

On the way to the Tea Library,
you'll see a tree,
which I heard is a work by Subodh Gupta.

The building you see right in front of you is the
Tea Library,
and right next to it, the Jeju green tea field,
Hannam Tea Field, spreads out widely.

Beyond the lush green tea fields,
you can see the Seogwipo sea and even windmills,
making it one of those places where you truly feel like you're in Jeju again after a long time.
You can take in Jeju's characteristic scenery
all at once.
The atmosphere was quite different from the
O'sulloc Tea Museum in the west.
It definitely has fewer people right now,
and it feels like you've stepped into a peaceful green tea field,
making it perfect for a leisurely stroll and exploration.

Next to the Tea Library,
there's also an observatory area,
where you can look down at the entire Hannam Tea Field
from a slightly elevated spot.
(It's connected to the cafe too!)
I heard it used to be a reservoir back in the day.

If you visit on a beautiful autumn day like today,
It's also perfect for snapping some pictures!

O'sulloc Tea Library
The Tea LIbrary is
a space with a library-like atmosphere.
Honestly, I thought this was the cafe,
but the cafe is actually a separate area.

The interior was quite impressive.

Instead of just being displayed like regular store items,
the tea products were curated in an artistic way,
much like books or magazines.

The modern atmosphere
made browsing around so much fun!

As soon as I entered, I got to sample some Hojicha tea,
and it was so fragrant and delicious!

The types of tea were listed on the side of the bookshelves,
just like a library index,
which made exploring the space itself
incredibly engaging.

There's even a spot where you can collect stamps,
which makes for a lovely souvenir!

On weekdays, you can even take a docent-led tour!

There's also a peaceful spot where you can sit and relax
while gazing out at the green tea fields.

After leaving the Tea Library,
we headed to the O'sulloc Tea House Cafe.
Even though we visited on a weekend afternoon,
there were still plenty of seats available,
though the window seats were unfortunately all taken.

Inside the cafe, you'll find not only beverages
but also various products perfect for a quick purchase
and lovely souvenirs.

You can order via a kiosk,
and we immediately opted for the Tea Gelato menu,
which is supposedly only available here at the
Jeju O'sulloc Tea House Tea Factory.
There was such a wide variety of gelato flavors
that I spent ages deciding what to get.
Just a heads-up, the prices are a bit on the higher side!

Matcha Milk O'freddo (~$6)
& Double Matcha & Hojicha Gelato (~$6)

My mom's pick?
The Double Matcha Hojicha Gelato!

They actually had a menu where you could enjoy
both matcha and hojicha, served half and half.
If you're a green tea enthusiast, you absolutely have to try this!
The rich, earthy matcha combined with
the nutty, roasted hojicha was a match made in heaven!
It was so much more exciting than sticking to just one flavor.
(And for me, hojicha was the secret winner!)
The waffle on top? It complemented the ice cream
perfectly!

As for my pick, the Matcha Milk O'Freddo was
absolutely delightful! While the gelato on top made it
a tad sweeter,
the vibrant matcha flavor shone through beautifully. It was a solid win!
It would be a real shame to visit the
O'sulloc Tea Factory and not explore a bit more around!

While the original Jeju O'sulloc Tea House is wonderful,
I actually preferred the amazing O'sulloc Tea House Tea Factory!
It's not just a fantastic spot for capturing those iconic green tea field photos;
you can also leisurely wander through the cafe and even a charming tea library.
It’s truly a wonderful place to unwind and spend your time.
If you're planning a fall trip to Jeju and wondering what to add to your itinerary,
seriously consider stopping by! It's definitely one of the top
places to visit in East Jeju 💚
