Jeju Olle Trail Course 14: Composition and Difficulty
Partial Section: Hyeopjae Beach - Wolnyeong Cactus Colony

Jeju Olle Trail Course 14
stretches approximately 19km from Hallim Port to Jeoji Culture and Art Village.

I walked a partial section of it,
from Hyeopjae Beach to Wolnyeong Cactus Colony,
a coastal route spanning approximately 4km.

As you walk, there might be moments where you think,
"Am I on the right path?"

But whenever that happens, the 'Olle Trail markers' (blue and orange Olle Trail arrows) you'll spot on the stone walls or signposts along the way
will reliably guide your direction.

The overall difficulty of Olle Trail Course 14 is moderate,
and it's important to adjust the distance and time
to suit your own physical condition.

If you have low stamina or limited time,
I recommend walking it in sections.
The section I walked, in particular, had an easy difficulty level.

Though there were some basalt stone paths that didn't quite feel like proper roads,

overall, the path was flat,
and there were beautiful coastal paths as well.
Even a beginner like me could walk it without any trouble.

The fresh sea breeze was invigorating,
and I kept wanting to walk further, eager to see what scenery awaited me.

Partial Section: Hyeopjae Beach - Wolnyeong Cactus Habitat

The Hyeopjae-Wolnyeong Cactus Habitat section I walked
is approximately 4km long,
and can be completed in about 1 hour.
I took about 1.5 hours because I was stopping to take photos.

This section was particularly appealing because it allowed me to see the diverse faces of Jeju's nature.

Starting from Hyeopjae's clear beach,

as you head towards Wolnyeong-ri,
The contrast between the dark basalt rocks and the sea,
and the views of Biyangdo Island made the walk truly enjoyable.

There were some stretches with strong winds,
but in the end, the green cactus clusters, stone walls, and the serene blue scenery of Woljeong-ri Cactus Habitat
made my steps feel so much lighter.

The emerald sea of Hyeopjae Beach and
the exotic landscape of Woljeong Cactus Habitat
are highly recommended as a Jeju Olle Trail course for travelers who want to
slowly soak in the unique charm of Jeju while walking.

Even though I only walked a part of Jeju Olle Trail Course 14,
I could fully experience Jeju's unique sensibility.
