1. Moonmoonseon: Jeju Island Brunch Cafe Location & Parking

Moonmoonseon, this popular brunch cafe on Jeju Island,
is located about
a 20-minute drive from Jeju Airport,
making it a perfect spot to head to
right after an early morning flight to Jeju!
Just a heads-up, I arrived right at opening,
but if you go a bit later, there might be a wait...?

The parking space was incredibly generous.
You could park in the empty lot directly in front,
and when we were leaving, I noticed there was another empty lot next door that was also
part of the parking area?!
No need to worry about parking – even beginner drivers
will find enough space to park easily.
2. Moonmoonseon: Jeju Island Brunch Spot's Interior, Exterior & Menu

The exterior of Moonmoonseon, famous as a Jeju Island brunch spot,
has a somewhat European feel, with its white walls and red roof,
making it a perfect spot on a sunny day
to snap countless photos!

It opens at 10 AM,
and when we arrived, about three groups
were already waiting to enter with us,
showing just how famous this place already is!

Oh, and they close quite early, so...
make sure to arrive before 3:30 PM.
They are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays!

The moment we stepped inside,
Oh... it wasn't just the exterior that was pretty,
the interior was even more beautiful....
The space is divided into three areas:
the area shown in the photo above,
and two private rooms!

This was the first room,
which also had large windows offering a lush green
lawn view of the courtyard, making it incredibly beautiful.
All the tables were in warm wood tones!

And then there was another room... This one was
truly beautiful, but why did I take the picture
like this...? lol
I'm sure I took a full shot,
but anyway, the window view here — perhaps because there's no visible window frame...?—
it truly felt like a painting.

Now, let's take a look at the signature dishes of
Moonmoonseon, this renowned Jeju Island brunch spot!
🍴 Moonmoonseon's Signature Menu 🍴
✔️Munmunseon Abalone Risotto (~$18)
✔️Gochujapchae Pasta & Haemdon Cheese Donkatsu (~$17)
✔️Rich Rosé Pasta (~$14)
✔️Rich Cream Pasta (~$13)
Just a heads-up, this place is actually
famous for its rich, thick sauces!
3. Honest Review of Munmunseon, a Brunch Cafe in Jeju

First, they serve complimentary bread!
There were four of us, but they gave us just one piece?!
I'm not sure if they'd give more if we asked,
but since we're all trying to be diet-conscious,
we split that one piece amongst ourselves!

And here it is, Munmunseon's signature dish:
the abalone risotto!
Wow... it's genuinely delicious...
We kept saying to each other while eating,
"No, seriously, this abalone risotto is AMAZING!"
I think we said it multiple times!

They truly amplified the savory depth of the abalone's essence,
bringing out only its best qualities,
and it was incredibly smooth and delicious!
And that red topping is mentaiko (pollock roe), the black one is
truffle...?(I'm not entirely sure), and the white one is
cheese. It was incredibly delicious even with a little mentaiko on top of the rice!
But personally, eating it plain was the absolute best!!
You absolutely HAVE to order this one!

Next up was the Rich Rosé Pasta!
The rosé pasta was just... pretty good!
The sauce itself was tasty, and while it wasn't
mind-blowingly amazing, it was definitely enjoyable!

The Munmunseon Sandwich + Fries were
thoughtfully cut into four pieces,
making them super easy to eat!

And the Ricotta Cobb Salad + Basil Baguette?
That was also just... pretty good!

It was nice to add ricotta cheese like this
and eat it to your liking, but I felt like if you don't
*have* to order a salad, then why bother...?

And after we finished everything,
they brought out a scoop of lemon sorbet as dessert.
Wow, it was incredibly tangy and sour, lol!
If your friend can't handle sour things,
you can happily gobble up theirs instead, haha!

Overall, Munmunseon, this fantastic brunch cafe in Jeju,
had such beautiful interior and exterior design that it was perfect for taking photos, and
it's a Jeju brunch spot I'd want to revisit just to have that
Munmunseon Abalone Risotto again!
For those who, like us, want to kick off their Jeju trip
with brunch right after arriving at Jeju Airport,
I highly recommend Munmunseon!

Oh, and by the way, I recommend being there right at opening ("open run").
By the time we finished and left, around 11 AM,
a waiting line had already started!
However, the turnover isn't too slow,
and there are quite a few tables, so I think
the wait might not be too long!
For anyone traveling to Jeju,
keep this in mind and have a wonderful trip! ✈️
