1. Jeju Hueree Pink Muhly Festival Begins

I recently visited Jeju Island's Hueree (휴애리), a popular tourist destination in the eastern region, which I frequent with family and friends as the seasons change, from spring canola to summer hydrangeas and winter camellias.
The long-awaited Jeju Pink Muhly Festival has finally begun, so I went with my neighborhood friend's family to capture some unforgettable photos.

At Hueree, a top Jeju Pink Muhly spot recognized as one of Jeju Island's must-visit places in October, we enjoyed a vibrant flower festival with its beautiful pink waves.
With its expansive sky garden nestled beneath the slopes of Hallasan (한라산) and colorful photo zones scattered everywhere, my friend, the kids, and I kept exclaiming 'It's so beautiful!' as we savored our autumn outing to Jeju Island in October.

With animal feeding experiences, the 'Black Pig's Playtime' (흑돼지야놀자) performance, and traditional games, it's a fantastic place for families visiting Jeju Island with children in October.

As a local resident, I'll thoroughly guide you through Hueree's location, the current status of the Jeju Island Pink Muhly Festival, and all the fun things to do, eat, and see.

The Jeju Island (제주도) Hueree Pink Muhly Festival (휴애리 핑크뮬리 축제)
kicks off on September 20th and continues
until mid-October.
I heard that thanks to the warm climate, abundant sunshine, and
well-draining basalt soil, it's an excellent region
for pink muhly to truly thrive.

Based on my visit on September 23, 2026, I was able to witness the vibrantly beautiful pink waves
of Jeju Hueree Pink Muhly. Although there were still a few greenish spots,
those visiting in late September to early October
will surely be able to capture even more stunning pink flower festival photos.
With the gentle autumn breeze, the pink muhly grass is expected to become even fuller,
so future visitors will get to enjoy an even more beautiful floral landscape.

For viewing, including time to take photos leisurely
and relax at a cafe, I think it's good to allocate
about 1.5 to 2 hours.

As for nearby attractions, you might consider planning a trip for October with your kids
to places like the beautiful hidden gem, Soesokkak (쇠소깍), where freshwater meets seawater,
or Wonang Waterfall (원앙폭포), where you can see stunning emerald-blue cascades.
3. Scenic Views of Jeju Pink Muhly Spots

After passing the ticket office, I saw a pond and walked through a lush forest path.
Near the greenhouse and cafe, there were lovely swings and moon photo zones
where I could capture pictures with the pink muhly scenery.

If you pass the 'Let's Play Black Pig' (흑돼지야 놀자) performance venue
and head to the Pink Muhly Hill,
you'll find the pink waves of muhly grass in a magnificent Sky Garden,
offering a panoramic view of Hallasan (한라산).

Parasols were also set up around the photo zones,
so I could relax, enjoy the scenery, and take photos.
I heard that starting this year, Jeju Hueree Pink Muhly has expanded to become
the largest scale in the province, and its size was even grander than I imagined,
leaving me utterly impressed.
It was a 'big is beautiful' (왕크니까 왕예쁜) space, truly magnificent!

While the greenhouse hydrangeas were taking a break for reorganization,
fresh hydrangeas were planted in front of the outdoor Hueree photo zones, even though it wasn't hydrangea season.
It felt like spring and autumn were meeting together!

The walking paths are neatly maintained,
making it a beloved spot for families with children, even with strollers, on Jeju Island.
You can also play Tuho (투호), a traditional Korean arrow-throwing game, around the cafe,
and I could hear the laughter of children playing energetically,
mingling with foreign tourists.

The 'Let's Play Black Pig' performance
runs until 5 PM, excluding noon at 12 PM. The sight of the cute black pigs
trotting along the path
is just adorable!

In front of the performance stage,
you can meet mini pigs, goats, mountain goats, ponies, and more.
Kids especially love this spot because you can buy feed from a vending machine
and enjoy a feeding experience.

If you're visiting with parents who find it difficult to walk a lot,
or if you have children with you, I recommend stopping by the Jeju Hueree Coffee Shop.

Both the indoor and outdoor seating offer fantastic flower festival views.
It's truly healing to be able to capture it with my eyes.
With a diverse range of drinks that everyone, young and old, can enjoy,
and delicious slice cakes,
this is a place I always make sure to visit.

Ordered Menu
Iced Matcha Latte ₩6,500 (~$5)
Iced Plum Tea ₩6,000 (~$5)
Claire Cheese Slice Cake ₩6,500 (~$5)
This time, I also tried the plum tea, and since it's a homemade preserve,
it had a deep, rich flavor.
They also have delicious hotdogs that kids love
and drinks for children,
so you can take a break and grab some snacks.
4. Concluding the Jeju Pink Muhly Festival (제주 핑크뮬리 축제) Visit

I introduced Hueree (휴애리), a Jeju Island (제주도) travel destination in October
where you can see the vibrant pink waves and the scenery of Hallasan Mountain (한라산) together.
It's so famous as a pink muhly hotspot on Jeju
that you can capture beautiful "life shots" (insta-worthy photos).
With plenty of experiences for kids to enjoy,
it was an ideal place on Jeju Island for the whole family,
from children to parents,
to walk together and admire the flowers in October.

Beyond just the pink muhly, it was wonderful to see other beautiful autumn flowers
like Spider Lilies (꽃무릇/석산), Cosmos (코스모스), and Globe Amaranths (천일홍).
The pampas (팜파스) swaying in the breeze on one side was also quite lovely.
If you're planning a trip to the eastern part of Jeju Island
from late September to October,
I hope you'll create unforgettable autumn memories full of romance
at Hueree Natural Life Park (휴애리 자연생활공원), a place well-prepared
with plenty of sights and activities for families with children on Jeju Island.
