Our accommodation, Boutia Pool Villa, was practically a 3-minute drive away, making Haewoljeong the perfect spot for an early breakfast! I originally planned to run over, but the scorching summer heat had other plans for me…

The restaurant itself is incredibly spacious, easily accommodating large groups. We immediately felt a sense of cool comfort and cleanliness upon entering.

It's a well-known spot, having been featured on the popular Korean TV show "Delicious Guys," and you can spot numerous celebrity autographs adorning the walls.

For our family, this was a combined breakfast and hangover cure mission, so we kept it simple and ordered just the main dishes. 🤤

This was my first time trying Bomal Kalguksu, and it was absolutely delicious! I was worried it might taste fishy, but not at all! It was savory and incredibly addictive.

Mid-meal, my dad brought some Cheongyang chili peppers from the self-serve side dish bar, and adding them was a total game-changer! It provided the perfect kick and truly worked wonders as a hangover remedy after a night out!

Since this was my first experience with Bomal Kalguksu, I can't really compare it to other places... my apologies! 😅 I'll make sure to try other spots next time and give you a comparison, promise!

Now, the Sea Urchin Bomal Porridge is priced at ~$17 per serving, which definitely feels a bit on the higher side!

The owner kept strongly recommending it, and while I was a little hesitant about the price, he insisted there was a good reason for his enthusiasm, so we decided to trust his judgment.

I initially worried about it tasting fishy because of the sea urchin, but after just one spoonful of the Sea Urchin Bomal Porridge, I completely understood why the owner was so passionate about it!
