Cute ceramic water cups were also served,

and the water was barley tea, which was delicious!

The suyuk, aged with Sandi nuruk

and steamed,

was incredibly tender and just melted in your mouth.

It was smooth

and just dissolved.

Savory and full of flavor.

The food was incredibly neat

and prepared with such care,

which made it even more delicious,

truly a memorable place.

There was grilled beltfish and horse mackerel,

and the horse mackerel was quite large.

Pickled avocado –

isn't that unique?

Not overly seasoned, just a healthy and delicious taste.

There was also stir-fried pumpkin,

and the owner

personally dried the Jeju bracken (gosari),

making it savory

and plump – perfect for eating.

really is exceptionally delicious;

the taste is distinct.

In Jeju, people often

grill black pork belly with bracken,

and these healthy,

each one so delicious,

side dishes still come to mind.

They explained that since Jeju doesn't grow rice in paddies,

but rather in fields,

it has a distinct flavor,

and they even showed us the rice

as they explained.

Perhaps that's why even the rice

tasted incredibly delicious!

They also said if we wanted more side dishes,

to just let them know,

and their attentiveness made me feel they were very kind.

Gobaksochan is

rather than a fancy, atmospheric

Jeju tourist spot restaurant,

a perfect place for those who are looking for

authentic Jeju cuisine and

a home-cooked meal.
