There's just something about Jeju Island that draws you to

Dongmun Market at least once during your trip.

It's the perfect spot to soak in the local atmosphere,

discover unique Jeju-only treats, and pick up thoughtful souvenirs

for family and friends before heading home.

On my latest visit to Dongmun Market,

while hunting for some delicious snacks for the hotel room and

unique Jeju souvenirs to share, I stumbled upon

Cheongchun Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch!

Initially, I thought I'd just grab one or two, but the sheer variety of Oranda flavors caught me by surprise.

Even better, they offered free samples, so I could taste each one before deciding.

Naturally, my curiosity got the better of me...

and I ended up taking home all five varieties:

Yuzu, Udo Peanut, Gamtae, Nuts, and Manong!

Talk about a delicious haul!

Try Before You Buy!

Even though Oranda might look similar at first glance,

the ingredients make a huge difference in flavor!

Some are nutty, others intensely aromatic,

and the textures can vary quite a bit too.

That's why I really appreciated being able to

sample them directly and pick out my favorite flavors.

Inside the store, a delightful array of handmade Oranda

was neatly arranged, making it easy to browse.

I also noticed beautifully packaged gift sets, perfect for souvenirs.

picking out a variety is definitely the way to go!

My Delicious Haul

This time, I ended up buying all five varieties!

I just couldn't resist trying each unique flavor, and well,

that's how I ended up with all five! 😂

But honestly, having such a diverse selection made for fantastic snacking

back at the hotel during our Jeju trip – I never got bored!

The Taste Test!

I brought my Oranda haul back to the hotel and

started sampling them with a cup of coffee.

When it comes to Oranda, two things I secretly pay close attention to are

oiliness and sweetness!

If they're too greasy, I usually lose interest after a few bites.

But Cheongchun Oranda didn't have that heavy, oily feel at all.

What really won me over was that the sweetness was surprisingly subtle and perfectly balanced 🙂

It had that signature Oranda sweetness without leaving an overpowering sugary aftertaste,

making it easy to enjoy even without tea or coffee.

I'd tell myself I'd just have one... only to find my hand reaching for another! Haha!

It's always fun to slowly savor snacks you bring back from a trip,

but with five different flavors to rotate through,

these treats disappeared much faster than I expected! 🤣

Each of the five flavors offered its own unique charm:

As expected, the rich, nutty flavor of Udo peanuts was incredibly appealing.

truly making it feel like a unique Jeju snack.

I personally found myself reaching for this one often!

The satisfying crunch and earthy flavor of the mixed nuts were simply delightful.

✅ Manong Oranda

'Manong' is the Jeju dialect word for garlic,

and this flavor was definitely the most unique of the bunch!

It had a subtle, aromatic hint of garlic that made it stand out.

After trying all the varieties myself, I realized these Oranda make fantastic souvenirs!
