This is my favorite time. As the water pulls back, the hidden stone paths and the spring water pools begin to reveal themselves. Sitting quietly at the end of the spring water path, gazing out at the sea, you don't feel like you're just visiting a tourist spot; you feel like you're slowly soaking in the true spirit of Jeju.

If you want to capture some truly breathtaking photos, I highly recommend visiting during low tide.

High Tide (When the water comes in)

Conversely, high tide completely transforms the atmosphere. As the seawater rises around the round stone wall, it creates a mystical scene, as if a small island is floating in the middle of the ocean. However, there's one crucial thing to remember:

Cheonggulmul is a place where spring water and seawater constantly flow, so the ground is often covered in moss and always wet. I always walk carefully here, and I've personally seen people take serious falls.

To prevent slipping while taking photos, I strongly recommend wearing anti-slip athletic shoes rather than flip-flops.

If I had only stopped by for a quick photo, I might have remembered Cheonggulmul as just another pretty photo spot. But after spending a full day, witnessing the springs transform from morning to evening, and then at night, I truly understood its unique allure.

After the sun sets and the crowds disperse, Cheonggulmul reveals an entirely different ambiance than during the day.

With the window slightly ajar, the gentle sound of waves lapping against Cheonggulmul's stone wall drifted into the room, bringing with it a profound sense of peace.

Most memorable, however, was the view of Cheonggulmul only visible from the guesthouse room. While it's a bustling spot during the day, from the comfort of the room, I could fully immerse myself in the quiet beauty of Cheonggulmul, undisturbed.

Since then, Cheonggulmul has become more than just a photo op for me; it's a place whose true charm can only be experienced by lingering and taking your time.
