Craving a delicious, energizing meal before your flight from Jeju? Yeonbuk-ro Haemultang near Jeju Airport offers incredible fresh seafood stew and local side dishes.
Are you wondering where to enjoy your final meal near Jeju Airport before catching your flight?
My husband and I recently faced this delightful dilemma while searching for an authentic Ora-dong restaurant conveniently located near the airport, and that's how we discovered this incredible spot.

I've been preparing for pregnancy, and my husband was gearing up for a major project presentation, so we were both feeling a bit drained. We were really craving a restorative, power-packed meal that would re-energize us.
That quest led us to Yeonbuk-ro Haemultang, a fantastic restaurant just about a 15-minute drive from Jeju Airport.

The parking lot is spacious, making it easy for even novice drivers to park.

As we stepped inside, the restaurant was already bustling with customers. Even after we were seated, more people kept streaming in, which confirmed that this place is definitely a well-known culinary gem in Ora-dong.

The menu offered a wide range of options, from Special Seafood Stew to Braised Whole Beltfish. Since our sole purpose was rejuvenation, we opted for the medium-sized Seafood Stew!

Our order was prepared and served surprisingly quickly, which is a huge advantage for travelers whose time is precious.

The seafood stew was incredibly generous, packed with a bountiful assortment of fresh seafood like scallops, crab, sea squirts, shrimp, and abalone.

As we continued to dig in, we discovered even more clams, like mussels and littleneck clams, generously layered at the bottom.

We truly enjoyed an abundance of fresh seafood to our heart's content!

Once the seafood stew broth began to simmer, a staff member came over and expertly prepared all the seafood for us.

And for the grand finale, they added a live octopus into the pot. The freshness was truly impressive!

Personally, I thought the side dishes here were also really excellent.

Beyond the standard radish kimchi and fish cake stir-fry, they also served soy-marinated crab (ganjang gejang) and barley kimchi (bori kimchi).

The barley kimchi had a wonderfully clean and refreshing white kimchi flavor, making it the perfect palate cleanser to enjoy between bites of the rich seafood stew.

The crispy grilled tilefish also played its role as an incredible 'rice thief' (meaning it was so delicious, it made us want to eat more rice).

Perhaps because of the diverse seafood, the broth had an incredibly refreshing feel! It was so well-balanced and had such a deep, rich flavor that we kept spooning it up even after we finished our rice.

With no worries about parking, and the chance to savor a truly authentic seafood stew, my visit to this Ora-dong restaurant was incredibly satisfying.
If you're seeking a consistently delicious and fulfilling meal before heading to the airport, I highly recommend adding Yeonbuk-ro Haemultang in Ora-dong to your must-visit list.
Yeonbuk-ro Haemultang is located approximately a 15-minute drive from Jeju Airport. Its proximity to the airport makes it a convenient spot for your first or last meal during your Jeju trip.
The medium-sized Haemultang is generously filled with various seafood such as scallops, crabs, sea squirts (mideodeok), shrimp, and abalone. It also has a base of mussels and clams, and a staff member will personally prepare and add live octopus for you.
In addition to basic side dishes like kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi) and eomuk-bokkeum (stir-fried fish cakes), Yeonbuk-ro Haemultang offers ganjang-gejang (soy-marinated crab) and bori-kimchi (barley kimchi). The ganjang-gejang, in particular, is a "rice thief," and the refreshing bori-kimchi pairs wonderfully with the Haemultang.
Yeonbuk-ro Haemultang offers spacious parking, making it convenient even for novice drivers. Furthermore, ordered dishes are prepared and served quickly, which is a great advantage for travelers who are short on time.
