When you’re traveling through Jeju with your little ones, don’t you sometimes wish for a place where they can truly play and interact, rather than just admiring pretty scenery?

Being directly across from Saebyeol Oreum, it was super easy to include in our Jeju trip. The first thing that caught my eye upon arrival was the expansive, open grassland scenery of Jeju. What I loved most was that it wasn't just an indoor animal viewing spot; you could truly immerse yourselves in Jeju’s natural beauty while interacting with the animals. For families searching for things to do in Jeju with kids, the opportunity for hands-on activities is definitely a major plus! 😊

Hands-On Animal Feeding Experience

At Saebyeol Friends Zoo, you can purchase animal feed using tokens and personally give treats to the alpacas and donkeys.

My child was a little apprehensive when the animals came close and couldn't quite bring herself to feed them directly. 😂

In the end, Dad took over, holding out the carrots, and our little one watched on, mesmerized! It's completely normal for kids to feel a bit shy or overwhelmed when encountering animals up close for the first time. But seeing them gradually get used to it with Mom and Dad by their side was just adorable.

Every child reacts differently to animals, so even if they don't participate in the feeding, just watching and observing the animals up close can be a wonderfully fun and enriching experience!

From Alpacas to Sheep and Donkeys!

Beyond just alpacas, Saebyeol Friends is home to a variety of animals, including sheep, donkeys, horses, black goats, and rabbits.

With so many different animals to see, not just one or two, the kids naturally spent a longer time exploring and observing! It was fantastic to see their curiosity piqued by such a diverse collection of creatures.

What I personally loved was being able to enjoy not just the animals, but also the beautiful surrounding scenery!

On a clear day, the expansive meadows provide a stunning backdrop for taking photos of your children!

While a Jeju trip often means capturing beautiful cafes or ocean views, photos of your child interacting with animals have a unique charm. They make for truly special travel memories! 📸

I was so busy snapping photos of my child, but looking back now, these are the pictures that truly stand out and bring back the fondest memories. Haha!
