After my first visit to Starlight Paradise,
I went back again just a week later!
This time, I had a reservation for Monday, August 24th, at 2:30 PM
I thought it would be the same as the first week,
but the entrance line had changed, the capsule toy location had moved,
and some of the sold-out merchandise was back in stock~
So, I'll skip the reservation method and event introduction,
and quickly summarize the updates!!

There was no need to arrive super early before my reservation time!
However, when I left, the line had gotten long again,
so it seems weekdays aren't always quiet after all, haha.

Surprisingly, even within just one week,
the operations were changing quite a bit.
It felt much more improved, which was great.
Sun Visors
Waiting Line / Real-life Photos
This time, the entrance waiting line was completely
divided into people getting sun visors / and people not getting them.
Based on what I observed on the afternoon of 8/24,
Jirachi was surprisingly more popular~
Stock will keep changing, so please just take this as 'that's how it was at the time'!
Here, I also got to see the Magikarp cup holder, which is a gift for purchases over ~$69.
It was surprisingly bulkier than I expected...? Cute, but maybe a bit cumbersome?
Nuri Toys Merchandise List & Waiting Line
This is where the waiting line gets the longest!
As soon as I entered, I immediately turned right
and headed straight for Nuri Toys, haha!
At first, there were only about 5 people in front of the cashier,
but while I was browsing, the crowd suddenly grew,
and staff created a separate waiting line in the center.
It seemed like a good idea to check it out first upon entering.
A line of about 20-30 people formed behind me, sigh.
This time, I was able to properly see the
flat plushies that I couldn't get a good look at last time,
and I bought a Farfetch'd flat plushie for ~$8.
All stock information is based on my on-site visit on the afternoon of 8/24.
I understand why people line up for them, they're so incredibly cute!!!
But some of these items can be found online if you search,
so I'm not entirely sure what's so 'super special' that makes the line so long...
Maybe the Moncolle Japanese versions are rare? People were just buying them up.
Event for Purchases Over ~$35
Nuri Toys Event, one draw for a prize (no blanks), and the prizes are great!
At Nuri Toys, if you spend over ~$35, you get a prize every time with their lucky draw!
They were holding an event like this.
And that's where my friendly meddling kicked in again, haha...
The cute young girls in front of me
were just a little short of ~$35 and debating what else to buy,
so I had my Farfetch'd (my item) scanned along with theirs,
and I transferred ~$8 to them!~!
The result: 5th place prize! A Pokémon keyring!
Even though it was 5th out of 7 places, I still felt a little proud, hehe.
Just so you know, this was the Nuri Toys purchase event for ~$35,
and it's different from the Summer Market ~$69 event that I'll mention later.
Merch Update
Gosty, Nuri Toys
When I first visited, quite a few items were sold out,
but some of the Gosty card covers were back in stock.
Last time, Charmander / Pikachu / Snorlax / Ditto / Slowpoke
were all sold out, but this time, only Charmander / Slowpoke were gone!
These are also limited to Starlight Paradise as of the afternoon of 8/24.
The capsule toys have moved from outside to inside!
After entering, they moved towards the Summer Market on the left.

There were separate Summer Market exclusive items and pre-release items.
There were so many Magikarp goods, haha!
The labels for 'exclusive' and 'pre-release' were different, so I put them together in a list.
Outdoor Changes
In place of the old capsule toy spot,
the Summer Market event redemption center for purchases over ~$69 on the same day
(a booth to exchange for either a Magikarp bandana or a cup holder) has moved in.
The food vendors on the 1st floor and the gacha machines on the 2nd floor outdoors are still there!
I didn't get to organize these photos last time, so I'm leaving them here for you... *pitter-patter*
Oh, and there was a small but charming change too!
All the wish cards received so far were hung up,
I even looked to see if J's was there, haha... I couldn't find it, of course.
Receiving the Magikarp Promo Card
I've already covered the Magikarp promo card event in my previous post,
so this time, I'll just walk you through the actual collection process!
You write your wish on the wish card you received upon entry,
and then submit it as you exit.
For me, they checked my ID twice.
When it was time to collect the card, a staff member took my phone
and personally checked the collection confirmation screen in the app, processing it for me.
A super important tip: Do NOT press the 'collect promo card' button before a staff member confirms it!!
It's always safest to wait for a staff member to guide you on-site before you tap that button.
The actual card collection process was super quick and easy!
A Little Anecdote!
Immediately after receiving my promo card and stepping out,
someone asked if I was going to sell the card.
They started by offering a "good price,"
but then hilariously added, "It might just turn into trash if you take it home!" 😂
I wasn't planning on selling it anyway,
but hearing that just made me even *less* inclined to part with it, you know? 😉
It was certainly a day that reminded me of the power of words!
Anyway, there were some subtle differences compared to my visit during the first week,
so I was glad I decided to come back for a second look! 😊

When visiting with a 2:30 PM reservation on August 24th, it took approximately 22 minutes from arrival at the venue (2:15 PM) to actual entry (2:37 PM). There was no need to arrive earlier than the reservation time, but the line became long again upon exit.
In the second week, the entrance queue was separated based on whether visitors were receiving a sun cap, and the limited capsule toy location moved from outside to inside Starlight Paradise. Additionally, some Gosty card covers that were out of stock were restocked, and the exchange counter for the ~$69 gift was changed to the previous capsule toy spot.
As of my visit on the afternoon of August 24th, only Charmander and Slowpoke Gosty card covers were out of stock. During my previous visit, Charmander, Pikachu, Snorlax, Ditto, and Slowpoke were all out of stock, but some have since been restocked.
Nuri Toys held a no-lose lottery event for purchases over ~$35. The author participated in this event and received a Pokémon keyring, which was the 5th prize out of 7.
The Summer Market sold exclusive items such as a large capsule toy (~$3), a lucky draw capsule (~$3), and a large Magikarp flag (~$9). Pre-release items included a 25cm wearable Magikarp (~$20) and a Magikarp drawstring bag (~$19).
