Happy New Year, everyone! 🎉
Can you believe it's already 2021?
Today, I’m looking back at a trip that’s now officially from "last year"...
specifically, from October 2020.
I wanted to share my review of a gorgeous Airbnb we stayed at in Itaewon, Seoul!

My closest friends and I
have been running a get-together group for 10 years now!
We meet up every single month to eat delicious food,
and we usually go on trips together once in the summer and once in the winter.
It's our favorite tradition...
But with everything that happened last year, we couldn't go on any big trips.
To make up for it and cure our wanderlust,
we booked a lovely Airbnb in Itaewon, Seoul,
and made some unforgettable memories during our 2-day, 1-night stay!

Since there were four of us,
we had a checklist when searching for the perfect Airbnb:
An entire place to ourselves in Seoul
At least 2 bedrooms
A spacious dining table that comfortably fits 4
A projector screen for movie nights
These were our absolute must-haves!

And then, we found it—
the absolute perfect Itaewon Airbnb!
It had glowing reviews,
and since it was usually fully booked,
we didn't hesitate for a second and booked it immediately! 🤩

The place has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
While having only one bathroom was a tiny bit of a bummer,
two of us had to go to work the next morning and two didn't,
so staggering our shower times worked out perfectly without any hassle. :)

The first bedroom has a wonderfully minimalist, clean style.
It simply features a cozy bed, but...
...usually when I stay at Airbnbs, my biggest pet peeve
is the lack of a vanity or makeup area.
But here, they have a lovely mirror and shelf set up
that works perfectly as a vanity! It was such a nice touch. :)

Bedroom 2 has a very similar vibe.
It's slightly more spacious than the first room,
and my friends mentioned that the bed felt a bit bigger, too!

Interior design really is all in the details...
It's amazing how a few simple, well-chosen props
can completely transform the entire mood of a space.
The harmony between the wooden accents and the soft curtains was beautiful,
and the warm, color-coordinated lighting was just perfect... ♥

I absolutely loved the crisp white bedding!
Though I’m sure keeping them pristine is a hassle for the host, haha. ㅋㅋㅋ
White bedding makes it so easy to see how clean the place is,
and I just love that classic, rustling hotel-bed feel... ♥

Next up, the living room and kitchen!
To be honest, looking at the photos on Airbnb,
I thought the space would be quite large.
Once we arrived, it turned out to be a bit cozier than expected.
But it wasn't cramped by any means—just a really warm, intimate space. haha

In the living area and kitchen,
they had plenty of wine glasses, cups, and dinnerware.
It was so nice to have everything we needed and more!
Plus, the overall vibe was incredibly clean and tidy. ★

There's also a communal dining table,
and the lighting is just so stylish and modern.
Having a focal point like this really makes the space pop.
Definitely saving this for my future home decor inspo... hehe.

The communal table was super spacious
(easily seating 6 to 8 people),
so it was perfect for the four of us to spread out a massive feast of delivery food!
This was hands down my favorite spot in the house.

For delivery, we ordered Yeopgi Tteokbokki, BHC Prinkle Chicken,
and a half-and-half pork trotter set (jokbal) from 'Gajang Masineun Jokbal' :)
Since we were staying at an Itaewon Airbnb,
the neighborhood is so lively and packed with options,
making it incredibly easy to get food delivered.
Plus, there was a convenience store right nearby,
which was perfect for quick runs when we needed more snacks and drinks!

We actually ran through our pre-bought drinks in no time,
so we ended up making about two extra convenience store runs... lol.

And Room 3 is the Playroom!
This is the room with the projector setup we were so excited about.
There’s a sofa in here too, making it the perfect spot to lean back, get cozy,
and watch a movie together.

The projector setup was a bit smaller than we thought... lol.
(The screen was kind of small... ㅠㅠ haha)
Still, watching a movie with friends on a big screen
has always been a bit of a travel dream of mine,
and staying at this Itaewon Airbnb
let me cross that right off my bucket list! haha.

We also played some board games
in this playroom with my friends!
We brought along a few simple card games,
and it was the perfect way to unwind and digest our food!
If you're planning an Airbnb getaway,
I highly recommend bringing some easy-to-play board games
to play with your crew. It's such a fun way to spend the evening! Highly recommended!!

The vibe was practically a private gaming lounge
hahahaha.
There was also a terrace area,
but since it was October, it was a bit too chilly... lol.
So we didn't really have a reason to go out there.
But this place would be absolutely perfect for terrace hangouts in the spring or summer!

We played board games, watched movies,
caught up on life,
and stuffed ourselves with delicious food—
it was honestly the happiest, most relaxing time!
Haha! 😄

And that's a wrap on my honest, unsponsored Itaewon Airbnb review!
The accommodation consists of 3 rooms and 1 bathroom in total. Having only one bathroom might be a slight drawback, but our group of four managed without major inconvenience by taking turns showering.
The playroom is equipped with a sofa where you can sit or lie down side-by-side, along with a beam projector for watching movies. Although the screen size is somewhat small, it is a great space for watching movies or playing board games with your group.
The living room features a large communal dining table that can seat 6 to 8 people. Thanks to this, it is very convenient for four people to spread out various delivery dishes all at once and enjoy their meal.
The commercial area around the accommodation is well-developed, making it very convenient to order a variety of delivery foods. In addition, there is a convenience store nearby, which is great for grabbing extra alcohol or snacks if you run out during your meal.
