Insadong Street is home to numerous shops brimming with traditional Korean souvenirs. Among them, Seoul Craft Shop, which we're highlighting today, is conveniently located right in the heart of the Insadong Culture Street. They are open every day from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, so you have plenty of time to explore during your visit.
What Kinds of Traditional Korean Souvenirs Can You Find?

The first traditional Korean souvenirs that caught my eye were the beautiful hairpins (binyeo), vibrant decorative patches (wappen), and charming coin purses. These items are all affordably priced, making them perfect for thoughtful gifts without breaking the bank.

The decorative patches, or 'wappen,' were particularly popular among tourists. They feature not only the South Korean flag but also iconic Seoul landmarks, making them a fantastic way to remember your trip.

I personally fell in love with these traditional Korean knot keychains and bought a bunch! Priced at just ~$1 each, they make excellent small gifts for friends back home. I figured they'd be perfect to hand out to my international friends on future trips, so I didn't hesitate to stock up!

They also had lovely spoon and chopstick sets, which are always a hit with international visitors looking for practical yet traditional Korean gifts.

Without a doubt, the most popular items were the elegant hairpins, or 'binyeo'! While some exquisite, higher-priced options were available, you could also find beautiful ones starting from around ~$3, making them an accessible and delightful purchase.

Just browsing through the collection of hairpins was a joy! The main reason I highly recommend Seoul Craft Shop in Insadong for traditional Korean souvenirs and gifts for international friends is the sheer variety. There’s so much to see and so many unique items to discover.

I was also incredibly tempted by the beautiful mother-of-pearl (jagea) patterned items! These were a bit pricier, with a small mother-of-pearl jewelry box costing around ~$26.
