wasn't just an exhibition where you stare at screens;

it was surprisingly fun because you could move around

and experience the space firsthand.

Especially since there are many photo-worthy spots,

it's also a great option for a Jeju travel itinerary with a baby :)

Innerise: A Must-Visit on Jeju's East Side

✅ Location: 264 Seongyo-ro, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si

(Approximately 30 minutes from Jeju International Airport)

✅ Recommended Viewing Time: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes

Its modern black exterior made it easy to spot from a distance,

and with ample parking space in front of the building,

it was convenient to get out with the baby and luggage.

Innerise is a massive Jeju media art exhibition space,

approximately 900 pyeong (around 32,000 square feet) in scale,

utilizing over 80 high-performance projectors and audio systems.

The name 'Innerise' is said to be a combination of 'Inner,'

meaning the internal self, and 'Monolith,' meaning a stone.

The exhibition unfolds with a story where visitors experience

the earth, sky, and sea, following three stone pillars that have fallen onto Jeju.

1. The Monolith of Land

The first area you encounter is the Monolith of Land.

It's a space that expresses the story from the birth of Earth to the origins of humanity,

primitive cave paintings, and ancient civilizations

through immense media art.

At first, I wondered if my baby would truly enjoy an exhibition like this,

but once we entered, they looked at the huge screens with such wonder.

The immersive experience, with videos filling the walls and accompanying music,

was more engaging than a typical exhibition.

What was especially fun was seeing my baby move along the floor

in spaces where the videos or floor reacted to visitors' movements.

I loved that it wasn't an exhibition where you just stand and watch,

but rather one where you could move and experience it firsthand!

2. The Monolith of Sky

After passing through the story of the land,

you arrive at the Monolith of Sky, where the atmosphere dramatically changes.

This space expresses humanity's gaze toward the sky throughout history

and the various forms of civilization through media art.

From hieroglyphs to architectural wonders and

cultural symbols from around the world,

the videos seamlessly connected, making me feel like I was traveling through different eras and places.

Personally, what I loved most was

the space where you could lie back on a beanbag and gaze at the ceiling!

When traveling with a baby, you constantly have to walk or carry them,

so taking breaks throughout the day is absolutely essential.

It was wonderful to sit comfortably and enjoy the visuals.

The photos also turned out quite beautifully, making it perfect for

creating lasting memories with my little one.

3. Monolith of the Sea

Among the three spaces,

the most impressive one for me was the Monolith of the Sea.

It's a space that expresses the mysterious ocean and its depths,

and the underwater scenery filling the giant screen was truly magnificent.

In particular, the scene where a huge whale crosses the screen

felt so real, as if we were actually underwater.

Even my baby couldn't take their eyes off the screen for a long time!

Knowing the flow that begins on land, passes through the sky, and delves into the deep sea,

made it feel a bit different from

just watching pretty videos at an exhibition. 😊

What I loved about visiting with a baby

Honestly, Jeju has quite a few media art exhibitions.

So, at first, I wondered,

'Won't my baby get bored quickly if we go?'

But their reaction was better than I expected!

✅ An indoor attraction you can enjoy regardless of the weather

✅ Interactive spaces that react to movement

✅ Diverse videos utilizing the floor, walls, and ceiling

✅ Many great spots for taking photos

✅ Spaces like beanbags where you can rest for a bit

However, many areas inside are dimly lit,

so if you're visiting with a baby, it's a good idea to be a little extra careful

when moving around. :)
