Ilpum Sundubu Jeju Review 2026: 24-Hour Soft Tofu Stew
Looking for the best breakfast near Jeju Airport? Check out Ilpum Sundubu Nohyung, a 24-hour local favorite serving hot stone pot rice and unlimited side dishes.
Are you looking for a hearty, traditional Korean breakfast near Jeju Airport around 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM?
Or maybe you are searching for the ultimate local "haejang" (hangover cure) spot to soothe your stomach after a night of enjoying Jeju's local drinks?
If so, make sure to bookmark Ilpum Sundubu Nohyung Branch, a local favorite in the Nohyung-dong neighborhood.

Ilpum Sundubu Nohyung is a 24-hour restaurant located just a 15-minute drive (about 4 miles) from Jeju International Airport.
For just ~$7, you can enjoy freshly made stone pot rice (dolsotbap) alongside a generous self-serve side dish bar. It is one of the most budget-friendly, high-value breakfast and hangover spots near the airport.
As a local who lived in Nohyung-dong for seven years, this has been one of my absolute go-to spots for a reliable, comforting meal. (I am actually moving to Sejong City soon, and I am already sad that I won't be able to eat here regularly!)

I moved to Nohyung-dong, Jeju, about six years ago.
Ever since those early days, whenever I wanted a satisfying, warm meal without breaking the bank, Ilpum Sundubu was my top choice.

Over the years, I have tried almost everything on their menu, but there is one dish I keep coming back to: the Beef Brisket Soft Tofu Stew (Chadol Sundubu).
The addition of thinly sliced beef brisket makes the broth incredibly rich, savory, and deep compared to standard tofu stews.

One of the best highlights of dining here is the freshly cooked stone pot rice (dolsotbap) that comes with your stew.
You scoop the hot rice out into a separate bowl to enjoy with your stew, then pour warm water into the stone pot. By the time you finish your meal, you have a comforting scorched rice tea (sungnyung) waiting for you as a digestif.

It is incredibly gentle on an empty stomach in the morning, and it works wonders as a hangover cure to settle your system after a night out.
During my recent visits, the biggest upgrade I noticed was the expanded self-serve side dish (banchan) bar.
They used to offer about six basic side dishes, but they have recently upgraded the selection significantly.

They now feature premium items like soy-marinated raw crab (ganjang-gejang), spicy stir-fried pork (jeyuk-bokkeum), and crispy fish cutlets right at the self-serve bar, allowing you to eat as much as you like.
It already felt like a great deal before, but now it feels like stepping into a mini Korean buffet.
This upgrade isn't exclusive to the Nohyung branch; it seems like Ilpum Sundubu locations across Jeju have generally stepped up their banchan game.

Beyond the delicious food, the convenience of the restaurant's layout keeps me coming back.
The interior is spacious with plenty of seating, making it comfortable for solo travelers, families, or larger groups. There is also a generous parking lot located directly behind the building, so you won't have to stress about parking your rental car.
But the absolute best feature is that it is open 24 hours a day.
Whether you land late on a night flight to Jeju or need to grab a hot meal before an early morning departure, you can always count on a warm, satisfying meal here without worrying about the time.
