Seongsu is a district I frequent, and while there's plenty to see and explore, hands-on activities can sometimes be hard to find. That's why I was thrilled to discover Hwik Shooting & Archery Seongsu when our usual Seongsu dates started to feel a little routine.
This place lets you try both archery and various shooting games – it sounded incredibly fun, so we decided to check it out right away!
One of the best things about Hwik for a Seongsu date was the reasonable pricing. I was really satisfied with the value! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
You can choose to play individual games, or if you opt for one of their discounted packages, you get amazing value. We definitely went for a package deal!
Hwik Shooting & Archery Seongsu: The Shooting Games
True to Seongsu's trendy vibe, the shooting range had a hip and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for a thrilling game!
The shooting area looked really cool, and I couldn't wait to try my hand at it! ♪(´▽｀)
I don't have much experience with shooting, but the friendly staff offered clear, step-by-step instructions and even demonstrations, making it easy for even a beginner like me to enjoy the experience.
First, I tried the sniper rifle. Scores updated in real-time, with a display showing exactly where each shot landed. This made it easy to adjust my stance and aim for the bullseye!
With great guidance from the staff and the instant feedback from the display, even as a complete novice, I was hitting targets pretty well! 😆
Next up were 32 rounds with a rifle and 24 with a handgun! 👍
Each gun requires a different grip and stance, so you might feel a bit lost at first, but don't worry – the staff teaches you everything you need to know.
I saw parents with their kids and even international visitors, and everyone, from children to adults, was doing great with the staff's guidance! (≧∇≦)ﾉ
Finally, I got to try the 100-round rapid-fire rifle, and this was my absolute favorite! (☆▽☆)
Where else would I get to experience a machine gun? I went all out, firing rapidly, and it was incredibly exhilarating! It felt like a fantastic way to blow off some steam. 😂
With the rapid-fire rifle, all 100 scores, from the first to the last, are displayed, which adds to the excitement! 👏🏻
I loved seeing my shots gradually get closer to the bullseye after a shaky start. My boyfriend, on the other hand, found it super entertaining to watch how many perfect 10.1 scores he could achieve.
It's rare to find a shooting range date spot that offers a rapid-fire rifle, so getting to experience this as a Seongsu activity felt incredibly lucky! 😍
Hwik Shooting & Archery Seongsu: The Archery Experience
The archery range isn't mixed in with the shooting range; it's a separate, dedicated space, which made for a very comfortable and pleasant date experience!
If everything were jumbled together, it might feel a bit chaotic and less like a date, so having a large, clean, and separate space was really convenient. 😉
There were two types of archery bows to try: the curve bow and the compound bow!
Since both bows are different and require different shooting techniques, I recommend trying both for maximum fun!
For archery, you can choose bows based on weight, and the staff even helped me select a bow suited to my build. ㅎㅎ
They also helped with protective gear and kindly taught me the proper archery techniques, which meant I was able to do quite well!
And the results? (~^///^~)
I was a bit all over the place at first, but with the staff's help and some diligent practice, my shots gradually moved closer to the center – I was pretty proud of myself! Haha.
My boyfriend hadn't done archery in a while, but even though hitting the bullseye was tricky, he did quite well!
You can even snap a photo of your results as a memento of this fun archery experience!
The compound bow archery was particularly unique! ✨
It offers a completely different feel from traditional archery, so I highly recommend trying the compound bow yourself!
It provides a direct and thrilling sensation, distinct from shooting, making for an incredibly fun time. ㅎㅎ

Being indoors, it's a perfect year-round destination, and the spacious, clean environment makes it ideal for Seongsu dates, group outings, and other fun experiences. ㅎㅎ
The indoor restrooms are also a convenient feature, allowing you to comfortably use them during your games. Plus, the excellent shooting and archery setups made for a truly enjoyable time! 👍
